The Japanese MBT in the game (Type 90 and 10 series) really not suitable for their current BR anymore, Type 90s should go back to 11.3 and the Type 10s should place at 11.7 (TXK(P)) and 12.0. The reason that made them unfittable for current BR are the modularize and the buff to others tank.
Before the devs add module to all modern MBT, this kind of “naked tank” (Type90s, 10s, Ariete) is still able to “eat” the shot by using some “Gaijin magic”, but now you take a shot then you died, even if you don’t died after the first shot you already immobilized and neutralize.
Another thing is we also cannot ignore the change of the environment. During the time it become top tier, others MBTs’ reload is at least 2s slower than it (NATO MBTs except france are 6s for aces, Soviet MBTs are 7.1s), but now Abrams, Challenger, Merkava and Ariete are getting 5s aces reload, and what Germany have already not the L2A6 but the L2A7V with a much better armour. And now look back to the Type 90s and Type 10s, they still the same for all this years.
Im reacting to type 90 only, as apparent by my first quotation in the post and me specifically saying “fuji”. As such, saying that 12.7 vehicles have better KD than 11.7 one is irrelevant to the argument at hand.
not saying they need to be buffed but they are far from the best anything at 12.7 with a K/D below 1.50 cant be called the best because all the best tanks have K/ds above 1.50 and even the premium click bait Abrams have a better winrate its just mid accept it
If balancing were based on technical specifications rather than statistics, the Battle Rating of the Type 90 would be 11.3, and the Type 10 would be 12.0.
Balancing based on statistics is absurd. Is the Ariete AMV better than the Leo 2A5? No, yet the statistics suggest otherwise.
