Japanese Suffering

I don’t think this will be that big of a deal for the performance of the players

The Zero has the same speed as a heavy bomber at 5.0 and it’s about to go up against early jets, everything is already entirely immune and untouchable as they’re 200-300km/h faster.

Only thing more insane is that Ki-84 at 7.7 in AB.

Top tier japan is fine for the most part.

An entire rank of bad flareless jetf ollowed by a single jet in an entire rank isn’t great either before getting to the top.

Ground forces are just overtiered across the board.

Just play worse

Is it the symptom of a trend maybe?

16 v 16 = More furball = Overall better results = Terrible experience for those wanting more than a furball every 16 v 16 match, and then being overtiered in smaller matches with more chance of actual tactics.

And before 16 v 16 people did a fair amount of furballs anyhow.

Im playing the TKX (P) at time and the RUBBER! side skirts make him slow, when the tank is pumped down to the earth…

Just such a joke this game!

Pretty easy:

I started to spade the worst Zero of all time, the A6M5 Hei, which is so underpowered it’s not even funny. Not only are you severly slower than any other plane but they also outclimb you. It probably has no chance to win a 1 vs. 1 against an IL-10.

I still get like 1 or 2 kills every match, even though I generally just use it to ground pound.

The A6M5 Ko on the other hand climbs and turns much better. Even though they are all overtiered, it’s enough to sneak in and quickly turn your guns on someone.
Of course you can’t win in a 1 vs. 1 but as long as the other player isn’t paying attention, which happends all the time, you can still get kills every match.

Plane which can get kills only from enemy’s mistakes = bad plane.

The T-2 and F-1 are fine for the most part, they are at BRs where you can still evade missiles without flares, just. And otherwise are quite good aircraft. Id say they are right on the edge of fine imo, I dont think they should go down a BR.

The single rank 7 F4EJ is dumb yeah. That plane really sucks, I didnt enjoy the grind with that. The EJ kai is probably the best phantom in the game though (or was before F16 spam).

Top tier ground is very min maxed with those 4 second reloads, but no worthwhile armour. Though drop down to ~9.0 area and japan is overtiered in the rank 6 range for tanks yeah, with the worst offender being the Type 87 RCV which should be 8.3.

Yeah, and then you die because it has horrible energy retention and acceleration isn’t good either so after evading the missile you’re a sitting duck, and even with speed you’re not that fast.
Your best bet is bringing rockets to use as flares which at least allows you to engage the hordes of A-10s and Su-25s and give yourself a chance.

The T-2 is at least a lower BR and the F-1 only gets 2 more missiles but suffers a BR increase from 9.7 to 10.3 which negates the advantage…

You get radar missiles but lack a good radar to really use them properly so you’re back to relying on the 9P’s but now facing 12.0s, and yeah all these planes were good when they were first released, but having to grind them when they’re not top tier is just ass.

After the M735 nerf it’s even worse, everything can basically go down by .3, the Type 74 G, Type 16 P and FPS, probably the Type 93… the regular Type 16 gets a better shell but still very high at 9.7

U know, there are always have many players who want to dogfight with Jpanese fighters… even they are P51 or P47…

I ground the Hei out when it was still 4.7, it still out turned everything but it was so slow that I spent the entirety of every game just chasing the battle but never able to catch up. The 13mms are great, but yeah all the extra weight they added to it really hurts.

I found its most useful in GRB but even then Ive been using the Ko instead because it works just as well.

I think nearly all of the Zeros are currently overtiered by at least 0.3 honestly, with maybe only the first A6M3 and maybe the A6M2s being fair.

American players do stupid stuff (trying to outturn the zero)>die>cry on the forum>gaijin handholds them
As always

is thinking in a dogfight a new concept for you in the Japanese tree?

They can uptier the A6M to 12.7 and Johnny in his F15 will still turnfight it and lose… similar fate for other well turning planes like early spits, 2005, … people play dumb and turnfight what they shouldn’t, and turny plane goes up in BR because stupidity

1.Gaijin use data to do the “Balance”.NOT REAL STATUS
2.There r always some Allie planes have some deathwish,Including dog fight with Zero by just turning. So the K/D ratio of Zero can be uprising fast.Thats why a slow plane enterd tier5.3 :)

It’s not really about that.

People will often put themself into bad situations like a low alt furball.
The Zeros are not competetive in 1 vs. 1 but if everyone is just looping around and turning at low alt a plane that can follow any other vehicles turn and put guns on them is just the one that is getting the kill.

Most players will just get kills because they get lucky, meaning they are at the right situation at the right time. Spitfires, Japanese and Italian planes can just capitalize on players that start to dogfight others without being aware on their surroundings.

If I’m at a BnZ plane and I dive on someone, I might miss my opportunity because I couldn’t get guns on someone, either because I couldn’t follow the turn or I otherwise would hug the ground.
You can reset but then a Zero will take the kill in the meantime.

In the end it’s just priority. A good player will try to get the advantage over potentially other good players while a Zero is just very good at punishing bad players.

It’s also about numbers. If your bad players kill all the enemy bad players, you have a huge advantage in numbers and trying to drain others of energy becomes more difficult.

Some planes and tanks can be played to be basically untouchable but if you don’t have an early impact you’re still going to lose the match.

Like u said,A6Ms is just very good at punishing bad players,Like the DarkSouls :)
Sadly,There are plenty of them.

i agree most of japanese aircraft (props) are utter garbage, but the j6k1 is formidable and borderline unfair. It’s ability to keep the controls constant like a modern jet make it quite amazing. Sure it is slow and draggy at high speed, but so are spitfires and they’re the pinnacle of war thunder gameplay.

Japan is suffering from over-compression. This is simply because people almost always attempt to dogfight an A6M(Or any Japanese craft) or run away from them.

I think it’s really more that they get into a fight when a Zero is nearby or can swoop in.

A Zero is very good support fighter since they force the enemy into a specific play style unless they want to get punished.

You can’t really focus a Zero as a target from the start because it will drain your energy and make you susceptiable to other fighters but while the Zero is around you can also not waste your energy with another fighter since you need to keep speed to keep the Zero away.

Of course once a Zero is alone is has almost no chance to win a dog fight with any other plane but it can still work very well for a team.
