Japan & Sweden could easily close the gap with the introduction of the Jas-39E, both of their air tree’s are pretty much as fleshed out as they can be with the addition of the Norwegien F-16am, Finnish F-18 & F-2’s, aside from maybe adding the Jas-39NG for Sweden first. China could receive the J-16. And Super hornets for many countries including the USA could help bridge the gap between the current 4th gens and the other 4.5th gens currently in the game like the Rafale & Eurofighter’s. thoughts? :p
The J-10C is also an option.
For the US, an F-15EX would be the next step for a top tier plane, because I highly doubt the super hornets will be competitive at 14.3.
The Gripen hasn’t been delivered to Thailand yet so i dont agree with the E personally, countries can often cut the agreement like Malaysia did with the Hornets so it would be best to wait.
Literally just a fatter hornet with extra pylons and AESA, EX on top
i feel like the F-15EX would be healthy being placed at 14.7-15.0 at the current compression, if gaijin actually adds epaws and allows it to carry SIXTEEN AIM-120s, four AIM-9s, and two AGM-88 HARMs hypotheticaly
No thanks the EX is too much , if the EX comes then so does the Su35 and j16 and all other top fighters . And dont get me started on their missiles, they are useless if they dont get their proper missiles .
USA should get superhornets , Japan and sweden will go with gripen Es , Isreal will get the rafales , china will probably get the J15s and the j10B or j10C if gaijin was feeling generous .
Adding the gripen now is dumb
JAS39E hasn’t been delivered to Thailand, so by Gaijin’s standards it has no place.
For 14.0+, they can receive a later F-15J(M), Indonesian Rafale F.4 (first batch delivered), Indo Su-30MK/MK2 | Or maybe Malaysian F/A-18D or Su-30MKM
why so and which one ?
Gripen E. Its like adding the F-22 but no stealth, no electronic warfare, and the aim 120 c-5 and aim 9m as the best missiles.
Its flight performance is buffed a bit, radar excellent and it can carry more weapons. However, gaijin rarely changes already added vehicles, so they may never fix it.
Gripen E to Japan is the final nail in the coffin if gaijin wants people to grind sweden, they have nothing unique for now and adding the E once they actually are in Thai service would make more sense
Best bet is Gripen NG in December
I dont think gripen will come this year. Gripens reputation is excellent EW. I believe that if Gripen comes, other EW capably aircrafts will also probably be added at the same time as the Gripen.
Exactly.
The Rafale F4, not technically in service yet but the first batch has been delivered. I think the first batch is all Two-Seaters.

They could always add the JAS39NG, then add the JAS39E with EW when it comes.
Gripen ng is gripen e.
Gripen NG depending on model, can essentially be a Gripen E without the EW kit, so a slightly more lightweight Gripen E
Mb. Gripen ng is gripen d
Not exactly NG is silly and i have tried asking SAAB. NG has a few models to be exact, we have Gripen C’s called NG and Late NG’s which have the bigger fuselage and wings alongside the engine while also featuring an extended wing, (some also dont have this) then we have ones with and without IRST sensor. Honestly its all over the place. Same thing with the E models also some have and dont have the extended wing but they all have Arexis EW system
Heres an exanple of the wing design, we actually have seen Brazilian gripen sport both wing designs
