T28 is stronger there, it’s just it’s too heavy to turn and tortoise can somewhat turn.
Umm muzzle velocity is a thing sir…
Then you agree tortoise belongs at 6.3… i mean look at the premium t28…
Solid shot is finicky. And jagdtiger has APHE with fkn 700g TNT eqv
Yes, but the HEAT round does not have poor muzzle velocity and the maps don’t often get larger
I don’t disagree much with lowering it… yes… that is a hell of a lot more sane than suggesting to make the jagdtiger useless (its already pretty bad at 6.7) at 7.0.
sure if u say so
That’s the point of this topic. I can’t stomach the jagdtiger and the tortoise being the same br when one is outright much interior to the other in the same class.
The Tortoise used to be 6.3, and was absolutely fine there. The problem was simply that it was a somewhat rare tank, meaning a shockingly large proportion of the people fighting it had no idea where to shoot it. And if you angle both the tank and the cupola (Manually controlling the MGs, turning it, then selecting main gun only), it can be a hard target to kill. And unlike many other casemates, it’s pretty agile despite it’s speed, which combined with the huge gun arc made it far more forgiving in closer quarters. It still deserves 6.3 IMO, but that’s contingent on players learning where to shoot it.
The Jadgtiger is just fine at 6.7. It’s impressively armed and armored, and not horrifiically slow, but still hilariously vulnerable to being flanked, or pushed during it’s near half minute reload. Plus it’s a massively tall target, making hiding it behind cover somewhat difficult. It can be terrifying when locking down a sightline, but every nation has some vehicle at the tier with enough pen to dig it out.
And finally, the T95 is just fine at 7.0. It’s key advantage over the Jadgtiger is the size. It’s a much shorter and smaller target, making accurate long range shots more difficult. Anything but HEATFS will bounce on the angled parts of the frontal armor, and even HEATFS can’t get through the gunshield. The cupolas make it vulnerable to APHE at closer ranges, unlike the Jadg, but that’s why you shouldn’t be at those closer ranges. The T95 is built to sit at the end of a long sightline and lock it down completely, something it can do better than the Jadg due to the faster RoF, better armor and smaller sillohette. And unlike the Jadg, you have tools if a rat tank manages to flank you, between the improved hull traverse and the .50 cal to track/disable.
You should get used to seeing two vehicles that shouldn’t share the same BR, it’s very common in WT.
I fought the comment of @Aegis270 quite reasonable, u shud go check it out. Also i still believe they don’t belong in the same br. A person who knows what he’s doing in a jagdtiger can have little to no counterplay but a person who knows what he’s doing in a tortoise will still have counterplay.
Doesn’t mean the tank deserves 7.0. It only applies to fighting conventional ammo tanks who aren’t trying to flank you or abuse your long reload. Nobody good at this game is complaining about a Jagdtiger
There are 2 options really 1)move down the tortoise to 6.3 2) move jagdtiger to 7.0
Coz if jagdtiger doesn’t belong at 7.0 then there is no way in hell that the tortoise belongs at 6.7 with the jagdtiger and as i said i found @Aegis270 comment quite reasonable so you shud go check it out instead of so forcefully repeating the same thing over and over when I’ve already mentioned the alternative.
nah, the third option, and what gaijin is going to do, is leave both at 6.7. I don’t think it would be awful if they made the tortoise 6.3 though
I also already agreed with you earlier so you’re the one doing what you claim, ironically enough
I will not targeting the jagdtiger sir, i’m a british player so I’m only concerned with the tortoise and my point of comparing the tortoise with the jagdtiger was not to move the jagdtiger up… My point was seeking justice for the tortoise… Either jagdtiger moves up or tortoise moves down. U get what I’m saying? I’m not attacking the jagdtiger!! I’m concerned about the tortoise
I think a better reload rate for the tortoise will be good, even the Ferdinand at 6.7s aced and the long 88mm is overall more potent in terms of post-pen damage. I don’t know if they can do that since it uses a two-piece ammo type, any idea how quickly the crews could reload in the Tortoise irl?
nope… not a clue… I’m disconnected from history lol. Just have attraction to the realism of the game. But moving the tortoise down to it’s previous 6.3 br shouldn’t be a problem considering the same things will be able to pen it anyway.
Lol no it isn’t, solid shot out of the US 90mm guns has great spalling. The tortoise uses a larger caliber.
Oh wow, a nuke in a full downtier. Must be balanced, then.
