True a lot of early jet players dont know what they doing, but when they know… Then you just cant do anything to them.
when they know i focus them. nothing they can do after diving on that attacker and losing all their energy
Don’t forget the Jap 20mm. I think the J6K uses the Type 99s and they used to be among the best cannons in the game a while ago but now they are worse than MG151s.
Pretty sure Japanese 20 mm works fine. 30 mm are doing less damage than 20mm rn fr.
Nah they’re not. Played the B7 yesterday and had to use like 100 rounds for each kill. They aren’t as accurate as they used to be and they don’t deal damage anymore.
When I was spading the J2M3 it felt like the cannons were much weaker than before.
But in protection analysis it seemed to be the same.
So maybe I was just imagining things 😵
Hmm I use them daily and I dont find them lacking power. I was playing A6M today and literally just clicked once with the 20mm close up and both wings fell off.
Only 30mm seem to be shit.
Protection analysis for aircraft is weird and most of the time useless.
They’re still stronger than 7.7s or .50cals but when compared to other 20s they are very weak. I used to love the Type 99 when playing the Zero or J2M but the ballistics feel very different and the damage got nerfed hard during and after realshatter.
They feel weak when compared to other 30s but they still do enough damage to cripple aircraft in a single shot/burst unlike the 20s.
What belt are you using? I’ve not had any issues with Type 99s.
Tracers
Try Universal, been working good for me.
Will try them next time I play some Jap planes. In the past universal was just straight up worse than tracers thanks to having only 3/4 HE to deal damage while tracers had less filler but had 4/4 HE rounds. The difference between HEF and HET might be bigger now that could be a reason for the ridiculously low damage.
That’s my problem with the Tracers belt, the HEF-T used to be great but now feels very lackluster. That being said the Universal belt isn’t fantastic either as due to the low gun RoF you’ll sometimes get unlucky and only hit with API.
that p51h is at its current br is solely due to the fact that 95% of USA air players are so stupid that they cannot even win the match in an X wing.
Same. I also use unversal.
As someone who’s had the J6K1 since it came out in the Winter Event, I am very disappointed in how high the BR is. The climb rate sucks, the rudder sucks, the speed sucks, and it compresses to hell in a dive. Only decent thing is the turn rate and of course the phenomenal armament.
It should not be at 6.7. You cannot catch up to any jets and you can’t dive on them. Most players have the braincells to not engage in a turn fight with a prop fighter, let a lone a Japanese one. Any other enemy props you are facing are likely to outperform you (Mk 24, Bearcat, P-51H). Keep in mind that Gaijin nerfed this plane after the Winter Event. It needs a BR decrease, or a performance buff. I’m glad most people here are in agreement, save for one certain fool who doesn’t seem to read beyond stat cards.
not gonna listen to or take seriously someone that doesnt even know the difference between their, there and they’re.
Player skill should not affect BR.
Instead of taking the pure performance of an aircraft, which can be skewed by being played by more or less skilled players, it should be compared to each of those players average performance before being fed into their statistics.
This way a good player doing a K/D of 2 is still seen as below average when their average is closer to 3, and a bad player with a K/D of 0.5 who usually only gets 0.2 is seen as above average. While I believe Gaijin uses average reward rather than K/D, I don’t know what rewards they are aiming for and this was easier to explain.
Basically, a good player should naturally get higher rewards, and planes mostly flown by good players should not be higher in BR because of it. Mainly since should a bad player try to play those vehicles, they are punished beyond any reason for it.
In a game where BI and Yak-15 and Spitfire Mk 22/24 are all 6.7, J6K1 makes 0 sense.
It gets clowned on by Yak-3U and Spitfire Mk XIV, 1 BR lower.
and dont forget the He 162 at 6.0, it can from extensive personal experience clown on any of the planes you mentioned.
