I mean, it’s just a Mustang. It’s not great, it’s not bad. It’s middlin’ but capable. Requires more how-to compared to some other fighters since it’s a Middlin’ airframe and the way battles are fought in WT don’t exactly give it an opportunity to really strut its stuff.

J-26 are bad. Just fly 109G2 from Finnish tree. sweden tree was pure unadultered dogshit before jets. Finnish tree saves it with absolute FM demon like Brewster buffalo and Mersus.
Like, if you want a working plane, US got Corsairs and Lightnings. don’t bother with Mustangs. that is the worst plane to fly in WT. Germany got 190 and 109. better than mustang if you ask me. Soviet tree dogwalk mustang in it’s entirety. so is Italy and Japan.
Uh, idk what it is all about, but J26 (tt) to P-51D-30 is effectively the same in terms of performance as Sakeen to Bf-109G14. It is just that for some reason J26 is not 3.3 in air rb while Sakeen is 3.3.
J26 is horrible, and that’s pretty much a fact, and even P-51C at the same br feels different in a good way, which is weird.
Try ground belts, i do it with the B239 since otherwise it does no damage. Or you could fly the equivalent of a B29 in flight performance the J22.
I think he means the tech tree (P-51D-5/20) J26 and not the event (P-51C-10) J26.

D-30 is kinda ok, I don’t have D-10. Afaik, the J26 is not a D-30 or D-10, but rather a D-5/20.
Kinda but not really. All of the big three nations have really overpowered rank 1-2s just by their nature.

D-30 is mid at best, and the D-5/20 is just genuily awful. And when I say genuinly awful, I mean even the Sakeen is better.

I know the differences aren’t that big but they exist.
The p51D5 which is nearly identical and the american premium p51d20 which is what the j26 is are both 4.0, the only thing worse than those on the J26 is the lack of good belts for the brownings, but that hardly is worth putting it at a lower BR. And the difference to the D30 is not on the same level as sakeen to g14, you can see from the power to weight plots that the gap is much much bigger for sakeen and g14 than between d20 and d30.
