General info
The Iveco Super AV is an Italian made APC that can be converted to be an IFV and other types of vehicles to fit many different roles. Following the development of the Iveco Guarani project made for the Brazilian armed forces, Iveco had gained valuable know how and slowly started developing as a private venture, a new wheeled platform in hopes it would generate interest with the Italian navy or army as to put them in service. The development lead to the Iveco Super AV, the first prototype being shown off in 2009. The Iveco Super AV would differ from the Guarani in many aspects, primarily it being 8x8 instead of 6x6. The Super AV would be able to be armed with the Leonardo HITFIST 30mm OWS (overhead weapon station), although it is said that it could also be interchangeable with a 40mm version if needed. The Hitfist 30mm OWS allows for the crew to shoot from inside the actual vehicle, meaning there is no need for crew to operate from the turret. The main armament consists of a 30mm MK44 ATK auto-cannon, a fairly widespread weapon which is able to fire a variety of munitions, which includes APFSDS. The turret is also able to install an ATGM launcher, which is compatibile with SPIKE, KORNET and INGWE ATGM’s. Other armament for the vehicle includes the HITROLE Light RWS, supplied by Leonardo. The crew also has access to third generation thermals, both for the gunner and commander of the vehicle. In terms of mobility, The Super AV platform is equipped with a new 6 cylinder 700hp power pack, which allows the vehicle to reach speeds of 105km an hour, with an overall range of 800km. The Super AV is wheeled, one of the many feats of this vehicle is the fact that it is able to be amphibious, being propelled by hydrolic-powered independent propellers allowing it to be the perfect vehicle for marine-based units. In times of need, the Super AV is air-portable by C-17 Globemaster planes. In terms of protection, its rated at NATO STANG 4569 level 3, which allows it to withstand the majority of small arms fire, auto-cannon fire, and also is fitted with mine protection kits. Currently it has not entered service inside the Italian army, although the Italian navy has been closely following its development and has officially made a purchase order on the 5th of June of 2023. In the export market, IDV had great success. America was one of the biggest AAV-7 users and could not find a suitable replacement for many years, they had shown some interest in the Italian made vehicle for quite awhile. Eventually after extensive talks between Italy and America, from 2011 Iveco had agreed to partner with BAE systems and co-operate in slightly modifying the original Italian Iveco SuperAV to better suit the needs of the USMC and its Marine personnel carrier program. Following this some years ago Iveco also showcased the SuperAV land, a more armoured but non amphibious version of the original SuperAV.

Why it should be in game
I believe this should be in game as it can be a great top tier vehicle for Italy, unique and versitile, since its able to be amphibious, and has the firepower to deal with pretty much everything that gets in its way. Italy has plenty of IFV’s it could add, but only a very small percentage of them that could be added have the factor of it being able to traverse bodies of water. Although il admit the vehicle is high profile, making it hard to hide in, and easy prey for long range ATGM’s, however its also has its own set of quirks that allow it to get rid of any adversaries if the right player takes ahold of this vehicle.

I say that this vehicle should be together with the Freccia on the same BR of 10.3 as they did with the VCC Dardo 25mm and 30mm. Freccia 25mm BR 10.3 and Iveco SuperAV 30mm BR 10.3. Or put VBM Freccia 30mm together with VBM Freccia 25mm, and Iveco SuperAV 30mm you can put as a premium vehicle

Kind of funny how all these modern armored cars all kind of look the same like late model passenger cars look alike except for slight differences.
