Does the changes between the two really warrant a br change ? Also why arent they foldered together
Ok, what is the difference between them other than a machine gun?
no idea thats why am asking
The 1944 has way better hull armour and a completely different armour profile on the hull.
still seems like a glorified tank destroyer
In what way?
shit reload bad gun handling but awesome gun and armor
the td similarities go even further if you play it reverse
Skilled IS-2 players make every shot count, which isn’t too difficult because you will most likely kill whatever you penetrate. Its a good trade-off.
it still plays more like a tank destroyer
Is the same for me, I mostly drive it on reverse, instead of IS-2 I’m playing the 2-SI
its basicaly an isu152 with a faster reload
You do realise there is an isu-122? Has pretry much the same gun
what br is it
The 122 is 5.3 and the 122S is 5.7
Sure. Not like the long 88 can’t do the exact same, but with 3x less reload and more flat pen (good luck penning anything with 200mm flat armor unless you bring that incredibly situational APCBC round). If it could frontal hull pen a Tiger 2, I would say it’s good, but its cannon is barely even better save for situations where a tank is very angled (where the high caliber and APHEBC comes into play). An Object 248 does what the IS-2 does, but simply much better.
a whole br lower huh
The IS2 didn’t deserve a BR increase. The 1944 DEFINATELY didn’t deserve a BR increase. The 1944 is completely useless as the hull armor is irrelevant as your turret was always your weak spot. What are you going to do, turret down? Its been a long running joke, now an even worse one.
You know why the 1944 is the same br as the Tiger 2H? Because IS players know what they are doing, meanwhile the germans still suffer from a terminal amount of skill issue. Comparing flat pen also doesn’t really account for anything, as the only flat surface you will ever shoot at is on Tigers anyway
I mean is2 at 5.7 was silly. I think they should be 6.0 and 6.3 at worst and both 6.0 preferably
