The solution to your problem is in your head. Just say no to high tier grind and be satisfied with some tanks, jets. And play, not grind.

Are they forcing me to pay for my tank every match? No not really. Repair costs are cheap, and with premium I don’t lose money period.
I’ve never needed premiums nor an account, they were bonuses and allowed me to play 30+ other video games.

He’s not implying nor stating anything that would cause someone to question their sanity.
He’s telling people that the grind mindset is dangerous.
Your post however, is accusing everything of being gaslighting, which itself is gaslighting.

Imho those questions are totally irrelevant as
- “moral” is a private thing and is like many others highly dependent on individual perceptions and personal core values.
- Questions regarding legal aspects are answered either by court decisions, local law and/or actually applicable law and/or Customer Protection Agencies. Video games with violent content are closely watched / monitored by almost any government in case the target customers are minors.
The main question is imho why you haven’t reduced your thoughts to the essence:
- You think that wt might be even more attractive for new players with a way more easier grind
- Lack of competition for wt might be an essential threat for wt
My pov:
- Your approach looks frankly spoken rather naive, as the game is optimized to trap rather very young players in a grinding hamster wheel in order to encourage them to spend the maximum amount of money in the shortest time possible.

Time is the crucial factor - either the player leaves the game due to irl stuff or just because he suddenly understands how wt actually works and has to decide if he wants to invest more or if he shall quit.

So expecting that a faster grind would increase player numbers is imho a fact-free wild guess, whilst i agree that a better grind might help with player retention rates.

The problem for gaijin is obvious: Easier grind reduces the need for premium time / vehicles - so the question is: makes it economic sense to allow a faster progress with less money per player spent whilst hoping that more players will join wt to compensate for these losses and to make more profit due to a larger player base.
- Whilst i do agree that there is currently no competitor for wt, i see hope that the overall quality of the game might improve if less “pew pew” players will throw money at gaijin, so shrinking player numbers are not bad by definition.

Their anticheat only bans bots, not player cheaters. They only do that through reports.

both EAC and BattleEye ban players with suspicious software on their PC
I personally have never had this happen to me. All moderators I have spoken to were very helpful and considerate of my plights (deleted comments, chat ban and a dis-approved suggestion post).

Mehhh, even if I criticize Gaijin policy, I don’t feel threaten to be banned or to be sent into a goulag. I think it’s excessive to compare Gaijin with authoritarian states. I don’t even think it’s relevant to compare Gaijin with a state.

I’ve yet to see staff not care about assertive civil discussion, so that’s wrong.
They aren’t… They at worst make quick responses that don’t offer explanation, which isn’t insulting, it’s just confusing at worst.
They delete verbal assaults, racism, xenophobia, illegal content, and other illicit material… that’s it.
To this day zero people have provided proof of them deleting anything else cause providing proof of the deleted material is showing illicit material, so you have to censor it which means it was justified.

The DDOS attacks were proven by network experts in the community.
Also, it was for ~2 - 3 weeks and the game was still playable.

Many people play free to play and grind out entire trees. I have 2 friends who play free just using the in game mechanics to earn gold and premium content.
There is lots of ways the game assists in the grind and access to gold without buying it with real money.
This is far easier then many other free to play I’ve played.

Sorry I am confused. Are you saying that your friends play to WarThunder ? Or to another game where it’s easier to grind and get access to premium content ?
Well thats always the deal with free-to-play games. You grind or you spend money to skip the grind. It wouldn’t really bother me too much if it would be fun, but gaijin making the grind very painful, by not fixing the major problems that ruins the experience.
Omnipresent Spawncamping, no skillbased matchmaking, CAS dominating very ground battle and very high maintanence costs (if you have no premium) that can make you going broke on silver lions.
Not to mention the questionable balancing beetween some vehicles.
