Thats because KH38MT’s are on different level compare to those armaments, also Rafale witth F&F AASM bombs requires similiar sp due to their capabilities as well.
F&F munitions are the key part when it comes to determing SP cost, guided bombs or semi active missiles doesnt require as much as Sp.
For example my EFT with 15 Brimstone 4 AIM9M and 4 AIM120 only requires 730 SP points due to not having F&F ability but since Brimstones can be used the way i’ve explained EFT is also as effective as Rafale/SU34 in cas department.
Tbh flares and chaffs only works against missiles that is fired from either helicopter or planes, Spaa’s radar mostly immune to MAW system so you can delete them easily.
Yeah especially if you’re using Tiger UHT, Block 2 HAD and AH60, you can just spam your F&F missiles while get behind cover quickly.
Dont tease me please, we both know i will abuse that a lot :D
and that’s why I still don’t understand why gaijin does not charge extra SP for spike carrying ground vehicles. but that is a discussion for a different thread
As it should be, for example my French Tiger is superior to UHT due to having chin mounted gun and Spike missiles but for some reason both require same sp cost.
Them shitting out flares is just a sign their MAW sensed the missile launch which gives them the warning. I don’t expect their flares/chaff to do anything to my missile.
This is why I’m against helicopters getting better FnFs in the current state of the game, as on some maps they would be egregiously OP.
At that point game should give you a warning like: You’re about to enter a match where you can encounter EFT with LOAL ammo, do you wish to proceed ?
I agree on that part, tbh some vehicles introduced too soon into this game.
Ehehehe, that would be funny tho.
Thats the entire point of MAWs like you explained, but most of the time its useless.
I even turn off my auto spamming countermeasures due to not bein effective against SPAA’s most of the time, instead i save them against enemy air units in case they fire me a2a missiles so i can deploy it manually.
yeah its always funny when new (or in tragic cases, not new) players laugh about helicopter pilots trying to flare radar/manually guided missiles. like no, buddy, it is just their flares slaving to maw.
turn off your radar, hug the ground, approach from behind with machineguns. or try to launch fox3s/gbus/etc directly from above
I never get killed by ir missiles, save for that japanese spaa, and i always run out of countermeasures quickly, which does not bother me. you have to face the ir missile for hirss to shield you.
there are situations that don’t leave time for that, and bothering with pressing the flare keybind when you are sure an ir missile is coming is extra time and brain ram i don’t have
Gaijin seems to like doing that as a way to make people grind/pay more, because most people like really strong vehicles that dunk on everything else.
It would be actually funny to watch the kill feed after EFT kills 7-8-9-10 players in a single pass.
That would be the end of GRB top tier.
Shitting out flares is useless, but giving you a warning that missile has been launched is not useless as it gives you several seconds to duck behind cover.
This is all from a AA vs helicopter perspective as I don’t know how MAWs work against other planes/helis.
That’s the entire point, seeing flares going off means MAW is working as intended and as such is giving them a warning on screen. At that point they should go behind cover but some don’t for some reason, probably thinking CMs will save them lol.
I was talking from an SPAA perspective as I don’t use air in GRB.
no,the players who mock helicopters try to make a point that we (the heli pilots) don’t know that radar/manual missiles cannot be flared. something close to what you are thinking right now
yeah sorry I don’t support spaa users whatsoever and I think it is a bad playstyle
