the only 2 things the t58 has going for it is mobility and quick rate of fire. IIRC it was 8.0 and got a buff to reload. The reload speed is crazy though esp for a 155.
Are trolling? it has disgusting armour, ridiculous ammo and unbelievable gun handling. your description is way closer to the XM800 than the T58, and also untrue.
Wym, its platform is weaker than the 103 as others have stated. Like you can take it out if you know where to aim. Ive been one shot many times esp with darts.

You hit the turret and take out one or two crews, maybe the breech, if you’re round penetrated, which it obviously doesn’t unless you aim your shot well.
Thats compared to a tank that either one shots others or kills then after 2.6s.

“Aim well your shot” using 76mm HEAT, which is one of the worst HEAT rounds.
Currently, the tank is too strong for 8.3, but the reason is it’s extremely fast reload speed. It has mediocre armor for it’s BR, and the only well protected area is the turret collar. Overall, the turret has less armor protection than the M103 from the front.
Imo they should just fix the hull and turret armor, which are underperforming, and increase it’s BR to 8.7. If the tank remains broken, increase the BR to 9.0 and give it it’s shock absorber system (like the ones used on the AMX 50 series, which are missing in-game), kinda like a vertical stab that works up to ~10-15km/h.
T58 has some APFSDS resistant spots

Brenus doesn’t have a bad APFSDS either for its br, 360mm of pen

I get it, you’re a bad player and you spend lots of money to try and level the playing field. that has no impact on how broken and OP the t58 is.

IS-7 enjoyer here, the T320 dart on T95E1 has crazy good angled performance for an early dart - it is one of my most beloathed opponents in the IS-7.
A lot of the “common knowledge” on IS-7 performance is years out of date. It’s still really good and downright oppressive in downtiers, but at its BR and in uptiers it has long been hit by power creep. Cold War darts, Cold War ATGMs, and big Cold War HEAT-FS abound.

Good to hear something from someone who has it. Yeah I’ve noticed that fighting with my US 8.3 stuff, IS-7 aren’t nearly as bad as I heard they were, but they definitely do have solid armor
I wouldn’t say op 1. It’s extremely abused over used term 2. At a uptier it fights a lot things with heat,apfds, and apds even at 8.3 theirs plenty of vehicles that can take out the t58 or is equal like
u sh 805, strv,stb2 ,type 60,t114, tow missiles, Vidar, PzH 2000HU, ZTZ59D1, obj 279 ,is7,and t10m and more. most of tanks or ifvs and spg have a stabilizer or laser range find that automatically changes the range or even has Thermal imager

To be honest their is plenty of fast firing tanks at its br or around its br plus the canon is long and has a big muzzle brake/bore evacuator and witch acts like a bullet sponge so like you said theirs plenty of ways to take out a t58 or demobilize it although I do see it moving to 8.7 at most and upgrading its armor wouldn’t do much as is7,is4,Maus,t10m already proves this giving it shock absorber system would send multiple people to forums complaining about it gets something it dosent get in real life and idk about the armor weather if it’s spouse to be thicker but if it’s not same thing people will complain
No it’s not. I had multiple instances where the ammo rack survived a dart even from a T-72. All it did was turn orange and I got one shot back.
I get 1-shot by darts all they time. The t-72 had bad aim or rng.

Not saying it didnt happen, but it is not the rule. Darts can oneshot the T58 easily.

Face it people ,all of you that cry about balance are same ones that abuse all premiums Gaijin placed on BR’s that 2 or even 3 br’s where they belong .You talk and cry about balance but all of you would quit if Gaijin ever got serious about balance .
