Is it feasible to adjust the BR float to ± 0.7?

Really? One example being the 3.3 Puma which already moved from 2.7 to 3.0 to 3.3. I don’t see it being OP at its own tier, just good at being sneaky at a higher tier due to fast rate of fire.

Gaijin taking a very long time to balance vehicles because it involves a lot of work - is a false notion.

If any vehicle, nation, BR bracket, class - is unbalanced, it’s not because Gaijin can’t fix it, it’s because they don’t want to.

Or even better!

Longer queues and NO BR difference.

It is honestly silly to que up for a game that is 5.7 but you’re still being forced to play against 6.3’s. The whole uptier/downtier shouldn’t be a thing

If you can’t kill fellow 5.7s in the match or learn to take on the 6.3s then it is time to drop back and relearn or maybe try another nation until it clicks.

Do you really think the game health would improve with 10 minute+ wait times? 10 minute wait then game crumbles in 5 mins… doesn’t sound great.

It is a feature since forever and very worrying people require so much hand holding when before people learnt and improved. Now it is all quick fix easy mode and boring games (ok, the playerbase has always been a mess).

The thing is, if I wanted to play a specific BR. Then I que for it. That makes sense right?

Make it optional, dont FORCE something gamebreaking on the players.

A specific BR vehicle is within a range, there is no mystery behind it as it is obvious from the start.

It is not game breaking and more often than not easily handled. The intentions of the players behind the controls on both sides are what makes the biggest difference in my opinion. This is why a bottom BR player can achieve more than anyone else on a team by making use of flexible lineups.

Unfortunately your premise is that it does not work at all as it is now and that the game hoodwinked you into the belief vehicles only ever face the same BR, both being false.

And people often forget even in a full uptier many of the enemy and your own team are at the same BR.

all the more reason to shorten the range from 1.0+/- to 0.7+/-

Nah. 1.0 is superior & allows for superior decompression methods.

Because some can’t cope with +/-1.0 and most can? I don’t see the selling point. This comment is also mainly replying to the idea BRs should only ever face the same BR, so does not prove any sort of change required in the MM.

When in the full uptier, at the top of the board (ok score is not the best indicator), and the team is winning, what is wrong? It basically works fine. Of course balancing 10 nations across most BRs, considering all the composition options and types of player, is going to be a bit of a mare.

1.0 is simpler, 0.7 is just a band-aid fix that will be worse than doing full decompression up to 13.0-14.0.

As this very threat has shown in its discussion 0.7 float is equal to an BR increase and moving around of vehicles to 16.7.
So increasing BRs to 13.0-14.0 is proven to be worse than 0.7 in this very threat.

well yeah? full uptier is quite literally untenable except some vehicles, and in that case the only argument that could be said is literally “those vehicles are severely undertiered instead of it being balanced because it can fight full 1.0 uptier, the solution is to uptier their overall BR”.

Well, I do not agree at all. Fighting 1 BR higher vehicles is more than achievable with most non-niche vehicles. Then most TDs and Lights are built for it, most mediums can cope with adjusted playstyle, in RB it allows use of cheap anti-CAS that always fills a duty if you feel unable to do anything in your vehicles against only 4 top BR players (which your side also has).

Too much focus on thinking every foe is +1 and meeting them face to face in a duel with no context of all the situations in WT.

Typical tankovites.

Of course fighting full uptier is easy, All you need to do is slap 4 bushes and hide in the foliage, there, you can win against 10.0 uptier even against flying death machine with 69420mm main gun.

The same can’t be said for plane, current BR system fucks over air player more than it fucks tankovites over because you tankovites can literally cook breakfast while waiting for someone to cross your camp spot. Air monkeys like me need to somehow use minimal advantage in either gun, engine or turn performance to a one single chance that we have before that 1.0 uptier fucks us over

You talk about 1.0 in tank being “Not that much of a disadvantage” because you literally don’t have to actively fight against that disadvantage. even at an era where Armor is the god, you can always reliably shoot engine - rear turret with Puma, Locust, BT -7, and other Light Tank / TD. in Air battle, I will always lose against uptier because the enemy has 2 or more advantage against me with no crutch like bush, cover, shadow, foliage or anything that crutch you tankovites so hard yet so unnoticable to claim “I’m better than you” when the fact is you have 20 crutches.

Add to the fact that according to thunderskill, you dont really play a nation destined to lose in ARB like DE or FR, you play brits and japan and even then it’s only until props. of course it’s easy for you, the difference is barely noticeable.

Whatever floats your boat. Don’t project on others thanks.

+/-1 Works fine and no idea why you lot get so het up on it. Player/team actions trump BR of a vehicle EVERY time.

Calm yourself down as your instant insult goes to shows you have nothing to argue.

Take a break o7

There aren’t enough vehicle differences in WT for 16.7, which proves why 0.7 is unfeasible.
So far zero people have proven beyond a reasonable doubt that even 15.0 exists after decompression.

I didn’t read any of your comment (word salad rant) after the pointless insult. Best of luck with your coping.

This is exactly why new players should not rush to the top but learn the game on the way up…

It’s not changing it to 16.7 brs it’s just as effective. Essentially creating it while keeping everything else the same way.

Which is why it’s not feasible. It mathematically doesn’t work.
It ruins the matchmaker with a far tighter focus while causing major balancing issues, and far too much decompression which is what would cause the major balancing issues.

It has to at least be mathematically proven that said decompression is possible without alienating tanks & aircraft from reasonably facing each other.
It also has to be made by someone whose opinion it is that heavy tanks vs other heavy tanks currently is nearly perfectly balanced.
