Infantry/vehicle interaction

This is a thread discussing the idea of having interaction between Infantry and player-controlled vehicles.
There are already tons of threads, comments, and subreddits discussing the idea but this section is the perfect place for it. With the addition of Infantry, we are closer to the possibility of having new Infantry/vehicle mechanics.

I’ll start it off with the following suggestions

  • Deployable A.I infantry
A.I troops that can be deployed in strategic areas to assist friendly ground forces.

  • Troop transport Mechanic
Allows for player-controlled Infantry to mount and dismount from vehicles controlled by other players.
This would allow for players to quickly move around the battlefield with protection from small arms fire.

Resupply
Allows for vehicles with cargo space to transport supplies to infantry or other vehicles.

These two suggestions alone would significantly increase the value of APCs, IFVs and utility Helicopters. These vehicles would become valuable assets that would have an actual impact on the outcome of matches instead of being little more than soft targets.

What other ideas or gameplay mechanics would you like to see from infantry/vehicle gameplay?

I have a feeling that most infantry vehicle interaction is going to be AT squads shredding tanks and just as many roadkills.

I imagine battle taxis will do some fun stuff but i dont expect it initially

infantry seems to be a half assed mode so far. None of what makes enlisted cool is in it, not even commanders actually looking out in third person view…

They said they may model the commanders in tank remember everything is CBT at the moment

yes but their community spokespeople spent the whole stream saying “uhh idk… uhh that idea sounds cool i guess uhh”

which one?

well remember they might be limited on the info

but that felt entirely like cluelessnes

Maybe cause they was told stream what we tell you here are answer to questions you can answer that way player feedback can be seen once CBT is done

but they told literally nothing, so i dont understand the purpose of the stream at all

I remember that’s how it was in Heroes & Generals when that still existed. Tanks were made of cardboard and the most terrifying thing a tanker could hear is the ringing of a bicycle. Guess that’s what happens when your solution to AT is to just spawn a panzerfaust every five feet across the map.

well in Enlisted the most horrifying thing is to hear japanese infantry voicelines as every soldier can carry lunge mines and AT explosive packs together. one soldier will easily kill a pershing

To show off the Inf what will be tested and how and answer questions that they are able to answer

even that gave no more info than the short trailer sadly

Its looking like that so far. I was actually hoping they wouldn’t go through the FPS route seeing how Infantry behaved in the April fools event.
