they added AGM 154 JSOW just to be as useless in top tier. No one bombs bases at true top tier 14.7 ARB because it means giving up slots for bombs when you can actually spam missiles at basic loadout no spade because… because… NO UPTIER or AESA radar modification to unlock. I understand the need to make money but GE or Grinding for fking CHAFF is still BS.
Ive run PW4s on the Typhoon before, and have used them against bases instead of ground targets because I could, but not often. (Did do it more often though in the M-Scan days of the Typhoon)
I believe it’s effective to base bomb to get the modifications people are looking for. Overall, that would leave bombers or strive aircraft who tend to not have the speed or loadout wondering what to do. There are some that can hold their own but for me I would say make bases permanent let everyone get the RP they’re looking for and let the sweats be sweats if they only play props their whole life or OP fighters their entire time at that BR but don’t make everyone play “your” playstyle cause you have something to prove. If someone wants to experience the F15 and be “zombie” at the game I would say let them at least maybe in the future they will say “I want to actually be better at the game” instead of hearing some of these sweat players complain they shouldn’t be at top tier cause they hate losing. Let people have the fun they want.
I think this is precisely the point for the post.
This would be my vote both as someone who enjoys playing a mud mover and someone who likes to do a bit of multi-roling:
B-17 player crying as his team is completely flooded with Wyverns(he’s not getting a single base or ground target)
+1
This or infinite bases as quicker solution
Well, to that end, I would just make the forward AFs modular AFs like we already have in ASB. In a typical match, it is unlikely that they would be destroyed.
So that would in effect be “infinite” using something that can be instantly and easily C&Ped over from ASB.
Wouldnt get the destroyed bonus, but would at least mean not walking away with nothing.
If combined with the removal of diminishing returns. Then it would also give value to those aircraft with large bomb loads, like the Buc, F-111, Tonka, etc. Where at the moment, running just enough bombs for 1x base is usually optimal.
and I would add that regardless of what they did to the bases, because even with new and more bases, youd still get edge cases where there was nothing left to bomb
