Increasing bases to bomb in ARB

It is useless to bomb unless you are grinding a tech tree. Gajin also requires players to unlock pretty much something of everything in order to progress to the next rank.

Example: you have 4 fighters and 2 bombers in a rank. Gajin will say you need to unlock at least 5 air craft to progess to the next rank???

Next rank you have 3 fighter and 3 bombers. Gajin will say you need to 5 aircraft???

Overall, the main problem is the grind nonsense. It forces noobs to buy premiums and bomb while veterans who use tech tree variants don’t get rewarded.

But you can do that without necessarily playing bombers or strike aircraft. Without sabotaging your team.

I just find it funny that some people crap on fighters but when strikers / bombers are mentioned, they find 500 weird excuses. Hypocrisy.

Never had this issue in the Gripen, AJS37, Su-25, Su-24, SU-34, or MiG-27

I say remove bombs from premiums fighters and that will easily make it forced gameplay. If not Gajin needs to fix ARB

As it stands I need to run my squad with fighters to win matches left and right. If I solo I’m stuck with base rushers left and right.

Yet somehow you have worse stats on them than on dedicated fighters, fighter viggen or mig21 for example. This only proves that strike/bomber aircraft is inferior to dedicated fighters. Including variants that derived from fighters.

Now I would like to see you performing on par with dedicated fighters. On those planes (line 4 and 5) and not just few cherry picked examples. With some considerable amount of battles (above 100 at least).

So instead of ki100, f1 or mig21 there would be pe8, il2 and tu4.

Tho as I said before, it still would mean nothing, considering 1 person cannot represent entire playerbase.

First off, decreasing rewards is an awful idea, and is already the main reason that bombers suck.

Second off, what happens when three bombers that can each destroy two bases spawn? Decreasing rewards doesn’t change that.

The Change I would make is this:

  • Change the current 4x Heath-point-based bases into small versions of the deep strike event bases made up of actual buildings. Around 24 buildings, with around 18-20 needed to be destroyed to “destroy” the base
  • Add 2 additional "heavy " bases that unlock once all 4 smaller bases are destroyed, which are made up of 36-48 buildings.
  • In ASB I would also add an even larger version of a base that can spawn and have the AA defences increase going from small, medium and large, but for ARB, I would just do the 2x sizes and have little to no AA at this time
  • If all else fails, you can also make the airfields modular and damagable like we have in ASB, so that no matter what, you have something, anything to bomb.

The new building type bases could also have different levels of resistance, where some needed bunk busters whilst others were destroyable with smaller bombs or even rockets.

Also removing diminishing returns would mean that aircraft with lots of bombs arent punished for taking more, even if they use a lot of those vs ground targets. Which brings me onto the other change I would make:

  • Add more ground targets like trains, bridges, small clusters of buildings (like we have in NT), different types of convoys, “SAM” sites (wouldnt necessarily have the SAMs active persay, but could at least have an ARM target), etc. You could make the ground battles more interesting to attack and a little more rewarding too (both in terms of game play and in terms of SL/RP)

At the bare minimum, though i would make the forward AF attackable and reduce the spawn time of the current 4x bases from 5 minutes to 3 minutes.

get rid of bombers, get rid of bombs, get rid of bases now people can come here and complain about fighters and winning like it’s the only game mode in game. Fighters fight no bombers and boom no basses needed. No zombies just literal PVP get rid of AI in maps and increase rewards that’s what they all want might as well not make it anything else

To be fair base bombing is closer to “no fun” than pvp

then be FAIR, remove base bombers so I don’t have to waste 10+ games to grind a bomber I will never use because of “you need to unlock grind to grind the next grind even though you will not use 60% of the planes in game”

They should make it so fighters only get 10% of the total bombing reward instead

Just because fighter mains struggle to deal with base bombers doesnt mean that they should delete them from the game

I 110% agree so if it’s going to be useful then give it USEFULNESS and currently playing bomber is worse and irrelevant than playing Fighters. So if it’s going to be bad anyways make it worth EVERYONES time to use them along with fighters but a lot of people are so worried about zombiebombers they can’t see the bigger picture in this forum.

EDIT: It’s always “I want top players every game who study day and night knowing the modules and detailed parts such as energy from my pixels and energy of missiles that if they can’t get that down they shouldn’t be allowed in my precious top tier” Like come on its a video game and it’s supposed to be somewhat enjoyable for everyone. Gajin wants premiums and veterans wants a good balance I’m convinced these folks buy their premiums realize they suck and base bomb none stop making anyone not squad up a shyt show per match.

Honestly a lot of good ideas in here, but why are you guys even bothering? People have been complaining about bombers being useless for like 10 years now. They don’t care, it doesn’t bring them any money.

But what does however bring them money, is cas planes, the premium strike aircrafts. That sells.

It was one thing that they didn’t spread out the objectives when they just enlarged the old maps, but the fact they still concentrate them all in a small area on the NEW maps is ridiculous.
they also should add hardened targets that take massive payloads/ bunker busters to destroy.

Between the Deep Strike event and the ongoing NT/NE events, there is certainly a lot of assets that could be recycled.

Adding a reason to actually take a GBU to ARB/ASB would be pretty good
