Incerase BR of new SPAA's from the Leviathan update

You’re posting as yourself so yea…

Ahhh, yea, not really for this topic… Tired of this being ‘everywhere’ and used as ammunition when you get pressed.

What you could look at these SPAA as, is a broadening of the tech needed to make more systems work. Just think of what could come along next. Where you’ll be safe as houses.

dont know which ammunition youre talking about

ill try to look at SPAA this way, but i dont see how it relates to CAS in war thunder

Whinging about CAS.

I’ve said so many times about SPAA, and the lack of peopel using it because of the whinge and moan that comes from the crowd about how bad planes are…

Not really.

I would ask for you to show how little 10.0 AA struggles against CAS, but I don’t think you could even beat a 10.0 CAS plane in a 10.0 AA lol.

saying that a tank cant defend itself against CAS isnt evil ammunition, its a valid complaint from a GRB player

spawning SPAA isnt a solution to the problem

  • SPAA gameplay is boring (depends on the person)
  • not everyone wants to play SPAA 24/7
  • complete reliance on your SPAA teammate doesnt work, and wont work because this is random matchmaking. having partners who you cant rely upon is a tale as old as time, and its not more prevalent anywhere than in online games

Buddy, most ppl don’t just sit exactly where they spawn when they play SPAA, unlike you.

Are you sure about that?

We were talking about the M247. Most M247 players are smart enough to leave spawn, which probably contributes to how overpowered it is.

That is why You don’t do well in it…. Right.

M247 isn’t a 10.0BR SPAA, therefore you weren’t talking about it.

You keep trying to move the goalposts all over the place, dude. It’s not working for a single argument of yours in this thread. You need to pick a lane here and stay consistent.

Oh sorry, I thought this was a different discussion. Regardless, the point that most players (even Germany mains surprisingly) at that BR have learned not to sit in spawn, whilst Renzo aparently hasn’t yet learned that, still stands.

Are you sure about that?

Have you even made an attempt to watch his replays of matches where he played SPAA? Dude has quite a number of more matches than you do so I imagine he does know not to sit in spawn as a SPAA. That said, like I’ve already said before that the maps are fishbowls where SPAA have extremely little room to move around in without getting immediately shot at by a tank.

Regardless, what does that have to do with the SPAA themselves?

Number of matches is a very bad metric, especially when he doesn’t know basic things that most players do.

Whenever I see an SPAA die, whether it’s myself, my teammate, or an enemy, it’s almost exclusively due to one of five reasons.

  • Antitank purposes
Pretty self explanatory. Using your SPAA for antitank purposes, whether you spawned with the express intention of doing so, or got bored and decided to join the fight. This is where the overwhelming majority of my SPAA deaths comes from, and ~60-70% of kills depending on the tank.

  • Sitting in spawn
This is the most common mistake. Simply sitting in spawn and waiting for CAS to get near. Most CAS haters die this way, and then they whine on the forums that CAS is too OP as if the death wasn’t entirely their fault.

  • Spawncamping
This is usually a result of your teammates failing to take control of the map, resulting in your team getting spawn camped.

  • Overwhelmed
This is a somewhat common cause of death, where there’s multiple planes up that overwhelm the SPAA. This happens almost exclusively at low-mid tier where there’s more CAS spawns, and less experienced SPAA players.

  • Just generally dumb or naive
Things like shooting at CAS out of range, shooting the lowest priority target, failing to spot CAS, and pretty much any other dumb mistake SPAA players make.
These rarely cause deaths alone, but rather work in tandem with other reasons.

A good SAM player before the update could easily get SU30s, SU34s, Helis and F15Es if they did the bare minimum that was leaving spawn and getting into a good position.
Now all they need to do is spawn, put the two vehicles and open a radar screen and click 2 buttons to deny all air gameplay, maybe CAS had a bit of advantage before, but now the pendulum went all the other way.
A single IRIS T can deal with scout drones (it is now impossible to spawn them to help the team if Germany is in the opposite side), helis, planes, and ordinance, all pressing two buttons.
We are not asking for a nerf, we it will come as HARM missiles in future, but you can’t possibly suggest that planes such as SU17, Mig 27, F4E, and helis in the 11.0 and 11.3 have any real “fair” chance against an IRIS T playing a “Click shiny button” gameplay

You think it’s valid but you are ignoring an entire vehicle class in there…

So valid as you may think, but really, invalid when you look at the wider scope.

It’s there for that very reason.

im not ignoring SPAA, im just being slightly realistic and i played the game enough to know that your “existing solution to CAS” doesnt work. if it worked i wouldnt be here

i know it is, and it doesnt work

For you…

yea for me, who gets killed by CAS and cant do anything about it except sit in an SPAA literally every game, because surprisingly no other player wants to play SPAA 24/7 either.
SPAA and CAS existed for years and it never worked for ground players. it wont magically be fine now

Which also depends on which nation you are playing and at which BR.

Because for nations like Britain, Italy and Israel there really isn’t any reason to even spawn AA at 12.0 currently, especially if you are uptiered to 13.0.

All you can do as these nations is hope that you have Germany, US or Russia on your team with some players that know how the basics of their AA systems.
