If modeled accurately each ARM would only work against certain targets, so if they ever add ARMs, I don’t think they will go for accurately modeled ARMs
Yes for Vietnam era systems like the Shrike and ARM.
The HARM is a multi band seeker, especially when coupled to the ASQ-213 for the WW role or functioning in SP or HAS modes.
What about electro-optical or IR seekers? I don’t think HARM can sense those as those don’t emmit.
Correct. ARH are specific to radiating emitters (mostly)
I can’t see any difference with the KH38 tbh
People can switch their radar off yes, but they can also just intercept the ARM
Two wrongs don’t make a right.
Especially when it comes to the AA systems I listed, which for the most part cannot intercept incoming missiles and those that can cannot do it reliably.
well let’s hope decompression comes soon
Although i seem to remember Gaijin stating that they “believed” ARMs could not target small radars such as those found on All in one vehicles
They also “believed” that western MANPADS couldn’t be much better than Iglas, so I am inclined to see that statement more as a cop-out to not have to properly model ARMs.
Either way, I don’t think we’ll see ARMs before Gaijins announced ESM/ECM additions.
