USA do depend on cas. Their WR will tank the hardest after introducing TO.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.

challengers lol the only good thing about the British top tier line up is the EFT and even then its not great CAS
USA tanks don’t depend on CAS.
Please name on tank that does.
I have played many USA tanks and they do good on their own.
Again, they don’t depend on CAS
Every tank can do good on its own.
More like, i should’ve said:
USA players depend on CAS to do good.
Not my fault, not the fault of tanks.
pantsir has been suffering to a bug for a long time that makes it worse than the 2S6
ARM wouldnt change anything, if the KH38 gets intercepted so can a KH31, same thing reverse… if the pantsir wasnt bugged atm
This has nothing to do with a vehicle. Mentality of gameplay should change not vehicle BR. Every ground problem can be solved with ground vehicles alone, without CAS. CAS only makes it easier to solve that problem.
tell that to the challengers 2 that are either the worst or second worst MBT at top tier, which you wouldnt really know since you dont own any challenger 2s, and I wouldnt say you really have experience in the challenger 1s either
they already have the second best and was the best for 2 and half years
U can argue that pantsir is still the best
Unlike the irist it can defend itself when it getting strafed(by defend itself i mean melting everything in 1.5 km radius)
And if someone goes high u can do the lead mode and lunch from the radar screen and u have full fox 1 mode (4 at the same time btw) or just lunch with the good old saclos
ARMs would change the dynamic a lot. They tend to have similar or even larger range than the Kh-38, they have similar or even higher speeds and the ability to launch them wouldn’t be hindered by the render distance of targeting pods.
The long (medium IRL) range SAMs already are sitting ducks against tanks with their huge size and lack of self-defense capabilities. Their missiles also tend to be easy to evade at long range, so we would end up with a situation where the SAMs would yet again get bombarded by missiles launched by planes that are mostly to completely safe as they would be able to deploy the same busted tactic as the Kh-38 spammers.
We finally are approaching a proper balance triangle for top tier ground battles with tanks countering AA, AA countering CAS and CAS countering tanks. This is the way it should be.
Everyone deserves to have a proper CIWS
You are ignoring a small issue tho. ARM would be ok to counter the longer range AA, but they will be meeting the older one too. Happy ARM vs OTOMATIC.
Yeah, forgot to mention that.
People will tell AA to “Just turn off your radar lmao” when there are more airborne threats than just ARMs.
Happy Roland vs. ARM.
And doesnt Santal get search radar?
Who would win?
1 SACLOS boi
or
funni ARM missiles
I believe the Strela has a radar too, but those things lowkey deserve some punishment
SANTAL, Antelope, Osa, Stormer, ASRAD-R, Lvkv 9040C, 2S6, Tor, heck even the ADATS’, the VT-1 carriers, the EldE and the new Tan-SAM all would suffer immensely from the introduction of ARMs, unless those things get modelled to only be able to target the new big SAM radars.
I don’t see how that would happen though.
Vehicles are balanced by their earnings, so their K/D is much more important than just WRs.
Challengers were always up there with the others, even before EFT was a thing.
This is more of a compression issue than anything else.
If modeled correctly ARMs may only target fire control control / guidance radars not search for all but the newest models.
Depending on which iteration of missile we get they may or may not remember where you are after you turn off your radar either.
