You are asking them to avoid fixing the issue.
It doesn’t matter how long it has been an issue, what matters is that the issue is fixed instead of being swept under the rug.
An alternate game mode doesn’t fix the issues of the original game mode.
And again, Gaijin most likely won’t add such a mode anyways.
Imagine TO gets added which is basically a carbon copy of the GRB but without aerial units. People then flock to it and current GRB becomes desolate space.
In Gaijin’s eyes this can mean only two things. Either people aren’t really that interested in combined aspect or there’s something terribly wrong with the implementation of GRB.
Both of those would be a massive slap to the face for Gaijin.
TO could very well be a catalyst for massive GRB changes and Gaijin wouldn’t be able to hide behind moot arguments anymore.
You need to realize Gaijin is sweeping the issue under the rug by giving us no options and then using the muh player count argument to pretend everything is okay, which then gives them a really nice way to keep ignoring problems.
Funny how pantsir complainers suddenly disapered after the update and there is people defending vehicles that are way better and sit barely above in BR.
Who would have though that adding insane AA systems without decompessing would cause a lot of problems, huh? Always the same powercreep and FOMO with every patch…
No, it doesn’t solve the issues with CAS and SPAA, but it does reduce the amount of people complaining about CAS.
New SPAA was a popular suggestion (apart from the separate game modes suggestion) because most people were getting fed up of getting nuked by CAS, but a mode without CAS solves the “CAS is annoying” argument.
Honestly I’ve not seen much of Gaijin’s recent announcements, but at the same time it would be a good opportunity to add HARMs as a new counter to the new SPAAs (depending on if the new SPAAs are overperforming)… I guess time will tell…
Fully agree though, pretty much the whole game needs decompressing lol.
It was mentioned in the initial announcement of Gaijin that they would start working on multi-vehicle AA systems that they would also work on ESM (Electronic Support Measures) for planes. ARMs were said to be considered not a priority or necessity.
For the time being (H)ARMs would honestly be overkill and shift the balance back to favor CAS over Anti Air and I am lead to believe that Gaijin has a similar opinion about that.
It’s clear that they don’t have any true interest in fully fixing that anyway. If they had they wouldn’t have made the half of the new AAs like the Tan Sam, CS/SA5. EldE 98 and Spyder so mediocre or even Garbage.
Then again, a TO mode would have to come with a massive BR change to be even somewhat balanced too.
honestly in a TO mode it sounds like the already problematic trio of Russia, Germany and Sweden would be even worse because now they have no CAS to worry about at all which was the only thing keep some nations afloat, I sure as hell dont wanna play constant matches where every enemy is a T-80BVM or 2A7V in a challenger 2
I mean Russian top tier will take a serious hit in TO mode, as they use CAS quite a bit to win games.
They have 1 good tank (although not as dominant as it used to be) in the BVM, which even this is still pretty easy to deal with. The T-80Us are all decent while stuff like the 90M and B3 are mid at best or mediocre at worst.
Top tier Russian winrate. They bank a lot on the Kh38s. So in a TO gamemode I can easily see their winrates tank hard.
