That’s the thing though, CAS vs Tanks has been such a one sided affair for years at top tier, that CAS ‘Fun’ has been coming at the direct expense of others fun.
I do think that these 12.0 AA’s are a bit unfair against 11.0 planes, similar to how 13.0/14.0 planes have been extremely unfair to 12.0 tanks. But this is just the inevitable consequence of how asymetrically compressed top tier ground & air are in their shoehorned together meta.
Would be very nice if we could get ground de-compressed up to 13.0, or ideally 14.0, but i think snail is hestitant to do that, not just because their obsession with queue times, but also probably because it would mean they’d have to actually adress the fact not everyone has top tier’s. We have pretended the likes of Chally/Merk/Ariete are worth the same BR are 2A7/122/BVM for far too long.

Also no, I’m not a sweat. I play for fun, and the majority of the community does not find it fun to be smacked by Kh-38s, Kh-29s, AGMs, Hammers, GBUs, Groms, and dumb bombs from air vehicles that they cannot defend themselves from. “Source” literally every poll that has been made. War Thunder content creators and groups in YouTube, Reddit, Facebook, and every other site (hell, maybe even MySpace) have overwhelming amounts of people that do not enjoy CAS. So yeah, no one is sorry that now CAS players can no longer abuse and exploit the game.

I mean 😂😂? I take a FW 190 A-5 into 7.7 games with my Maus which has two 100m/s rockets with less HE than a su-152 and I take an a6m2 with 2x60kg bombs into 5.0 games. It’s nothing to do with “needing planes to perform”, despite the fact I routinely shoot down 8-9.0 jets with my 190 A-5. You people are so possessed by the idea of stats and winning that you can’t even fathom that people play the game for a purpose other than padding their kda. It’s insanity

You know what else had peak balancing?
Turretless tanks vs 1,000 pounders dropped from a kilometre and above.
Light tanks with no mounted machine gun vs planes strafing.
Medium tanks versus jets that bomb faster than the turret can traverse
Top tier MBTs vs Kh-38s and AGMs spammed from their air spawn.
How is any of that balanced? And no, don’t give me, “it’s a part of the game, brah” because guess what, “brah” these new SPAAs are a part of the game too, and I really hope Gaijin buffs them so hard that CAS “players” are being shot down from another match.

Are you having a mental breakdown? What are you even saying, you completely fabricated an argument so you could argue with it rather than dealing with what I actually said, presumably because you had absolutely no response for it that supports your standpoint.
Whether intentional or not you have just admitted that the issue of CAS is an issue of “feelings” and not an issue of balance. For this reason it’s pointless I respond to you further as you have proved my point entirely.
P.S - take a look at the profile of everyone who votes that they “hate cas”, I guarantee they actively play it themselves.

Truly I think it should only be fair that after rushing a cap and getting one scout, the next time I die/J out I should be able to select at random four people on the enemy team to instantly smite for my enjoyment.
It would be very fun for me.

Nah I am an mechanical engeneer. When I was a student, there was something called “proffesion practice” (this is the best way I candirectly translate it to english) and there you go to actual workplace to learn. I observed a guy machining lens which are later assembled with other electronic parts in order to create an IR sensor which is made alongside gimballs and image proccessors, everything is packed and sent to certain contractors that just by accident turned out to be factories that have contracts with goverment.
Then just put the new SPAA at 13.0 where they match up with 13.0 CAS

Yeah, and I use CAS too. I’m well aware it is a part of the game, and the reason I use it is because it is free eliminations. I am not shameless to admit it. I get an elimination in my Ratel or Turan or whatever I’m using, get blown up, and then I go into my Tempest, Sm-92, or whatever plane from that country, and I blow people up. Why? Because it’s braindead easy. I cannot be touched.
The difference between you and I, is that I find that the new SPAA brings balance to where there was none. I fully admit I use the J-11, J-10, Su-30, Eurofighter, Grippen, Tempest, P-47, P-51, and whatever else. I use it because I know it is free eliminations. I’m not going to feign that I play it because “it’s fun, brah” I play it because I know it is shameless. And I am glad that finally ground players can finally defend themselves. I am glad I can defend myself in the case that I cannot call in a plane. That’s our difference there.
Nope, 12.0 is just fine. I think it should be 11.0, just so we can fight the A-10s, Su-17s, Su-22s, and Su-25s as well.
