So, because you saw something which would, in all likelihood be a cheap, uncooled sensor, you think that means military grade thermal images are cheap or easy to build? A sensor which has to provide its own cooling when off the rail, have gimballing etc and survive god knows what G conditions?
There is a dramatic difference between say, the IR sensor used for a robot object avoidance and something which is useful in a military application.

I can see maybe putting SLM & Pantsir up there, but the rest of the new AA’s are barely a sidegrade (some a downgrade) over what was already in the game before this update.

I do not need people to agree with me. That’s another difference between us. I’m telling you the hard facts, I have used and abused CAS too, and I am willing to admit it. However, I can also see why we need better SPAAs. You and I abuse the meta, call it whatever you want, we still abuse it. I abuse it because it is in the game and it is shameless to use it. Sort of like when the AS VAL was broken back in MW 2019. You abuse it because it’s the only way to pad your stats and make you look and feel good. You are a corner camper with a shotgun and riot shield.

Hold up bud, make your mind up. Are my stats shit or am I padding my stats with CAS? And by CAS do you mean the FW190 A-5 I’m taking into 7.7 games? Or are you talking about my A6M2 in 5.0 games? Or are you talking about the notoriously bad F111C I take to my 11.7 GB ground games? If you could clarify please.
SLAMRAAM is not on the same level as SLM or Pantsir.
CS/SA5 is IR guided, I.e useless against anything at standoff range / drones / helicopters. Can’t intercept.
Elde has pathetic range. (Worse than ItO), only four missiles, and useless against any standoff CAS.
Spyder is WiP disaster, bugged missiles, huge deadzone and a barely functional radar. Can’t hit things below 2km(Python) - 4km (Derby), or above 8km for both.
None of these are 13.0 Quality.

Those products where sold to a weapon factory that has contract with the goverment. I doubt the would buy some knockoff thermal imagers.
I wasn’t the one that brought up your stats, mate. Glad you admit you’re bad at the game though. Maybe that’s why you’re hell bent on nerfing SPAAs, you want that feeling of power again.

Ain’t bad, just play for fun and action I.e W keying it from spawn to the point rather than sitting in camping spots or choke points. Your riot shield analogy missed the mark by a good 30 miles.
And again since you keep choosing to ignore it, how is my 190 A-5 giving me a feeling of power in 7.7?
anyway for anyone interested, i did some testing with @Morvran in customs (again, massive thanks), and there are definetively ways to counter SLM. so if there isnt decompression happening, people can and should adopt new tactics with CAS planes for now.

What happened from playing for fun? Now you are acting like you’re a pro player. Pick a side, mate. I at least can stay consistent because I’m not lying. I play CAS but I support Tanks Only mode and buffed SPAA. Pretty self explanatory.
You on the other hand range from abusing CAS, to not being good at it, to “playing for fun” to acting like you’re in FaZe (or whatever equivalent of FaZe there is in War Thunder). You talk about balance, but demand more imbalance for your sake. You talk big, but you are just a small boy. You talk about my opinions, while treating your falsities as truth.
CAS has been the meta for so long, and it is honestly hilarious seeing how many people dependant on CAS are now crying. Let me tell you something, brother. These new SPAAs are far from the meta that people are hyping it up to be, the other day I took out three SPAAs with a Grippen on Seversk. True fact, Wikipedia that. The only people who are mad that the new SPAAs are OP are the ones that relied on uncontested play in the first place.
