Incerase BR of new SPAA's from the Leviathan update

except youre comparing a SP price of what is essentialy support vehicle to what could be called a “killstreak”.

Either players spawn AA right off the bat and dont contribute to the ground fight MAYBE beyond scouting for some time, or switch to AA mid-game.

but switching to AA midgame isnt free. Players need to lose actual vehicle theyre currently in, either by getting killed of Jing out on purpose, losing not only the vehicle but map control and positioning as well, and only then can players spawn AA to counter the plane.

either way player loses something to be able to counter this killstreak.

That’s already how all of top tier works. Most modern Russian MBTs don’t even have real ERA or composite armor. Not to mention missiles like R-24 or R-73 which are almost entirely fictional.

Minority calling themselves the majority 🤣

A stick with two ends
One player loses a tank to make a killstreak, the other loses a tank to prevent him from doing so. Only one pays 1000, the other 80.

“b-b-b-ut adats can’t counter kh38!!!”

I’m not saying that all spaa should cost as much as a plane.
Equal opportunities, equal price. Or at least 50% difference.
Why does an av8b with 4x agms cost 900+, and an s1 that shoots down those agmas and the av8b itself costs 100? Fair? I don’t think so…
You want to click the mouse and shoot down planes that landed at the airport? Be nice to pay for it.

again, its a support vehicle. it fills a specific niche.

there will never be team full of AA. AAs job is not to just protect itself but the teammates too, that cant do anything against plane without spawning AA themselves.

CAS has a much bigger impact on the outcome of a battle than a SPAA/SAM, not to forget that in many cases CAS can completely circumvent anti air.

A lot of the anti air vehicles in the game cannot destroy tanks. Anti Air needs to be as cheap to spawn as possible and CAS has to be as expensive to spawn as possible.

Where did you get the idea that a AA is a support vehicle? Where do you get that from? When you have the ability to shoot down not only missiles or bombs, but also planes, and some even tanks, it is not a support vehicle. According to your logic, a plane is also a support vehicle, because it cannot come to occupy a base and win a game with team full of planes .

Once again. Equal opportunities = equal price

Want to sit on a base with strela that is practically useless against tanks? 50 sp please.

Want to close the sky completely?
Please be kind enough to open your sp wallet wider.

Ok

not every AA can detect them let alone shoot them down.

one thing i would think anti-air should be clearly able to engage ;)

ineed. SOME. few outliers can engage them effectively, while rest cant threaten them unless under extremely specific circumstances or not at all.

to a degree, after all, its called close air support.

but.

planes are more capable than AAs in the first place.

team with 15 AAs and 1 tank will most likely lose the game against team with 16 tanks.

team with 15 CAS planes and 1 tank will most likely win a game against team with 16 tanks.

but AAs do not have equal opportunities when compared to planes. they will never have.

There are two viable counters to AA - spawning a plane, or spawning a AA. Tanks cant effectively engage planes.

AAs can be countered by any ground unit, and plane too.

None of the new AA systems bar the chinese one can engage tanks at all. And even with that one i wouldnt bet on it.

SPAAs and SAMs are support vehicles, especially those that cannot destroy tanks at all. The ability to destroy vehicles doesn’t decide the role of a vehicle, the intended purpose does.
Anti air vehicles support their teams by dealing with airborne threats and when they are not occupied with that they can help with repairs and do scouting.

CAS literally is Close Air Support, they support their team by attacking tanks from the sky.

A lot of the light vehicles in the game and all of the howitzers are support vehicles as well.
Designated ATGM carriers, the AVREs, the M728 CEV, and a lot of the designated tank destroyers are support vehicles. Everything that isn’t suited for frontline combat is a support vehicle, be it fire support, recon, spotting, anti air, sniping, whatever.

I didn’t even read what you wrote because I understood from your previous post that you should be ignored. Thanks for wasting your time, troll.

Ok bro

Ok, how many tanks the premium AMX A1A will be able to bomb when there is an IRIS T on the enemy team.

How many tanks will an American helicopter kill when the enemy has s1, flarakrad, ito90?

Is the only argument kh38? Can the 3 planes that have them be read like the majority?

No one answers anyway:

SPAA should be weaker if it’s going to cost less.

Counter question: How is an ItO 90, Tan SAM, CS/SA5 or EldE 98 supposed to kill a Su-34 or Su-30SM spamming Kh-38MTs?

How is any of the short range SAMs supposed to deal with CAS deploying A2G weapons from outside of their range? The new medium range SAMs (CLAWS, IRIS-T SLM and SPYDER AIO) were warranted because CAS has outclassed the SPAAs and SAMs that were available before this update.

You can blame Gaijin for their terrible balancing decisions and the lack of BR decompression. The BRs of top tier planes shouldn’t have been squished down to fit into GRB, they should have kept their high BRs and players that desperately want to use them as CAS should have had to fight in their own bracket at 13.3-14.0 while using their top tier ground vehicles.

Ah yes, US suffers. Have you seen the state of British, Swedish, Japanese and Chinese helicopters? I guess the Teapache is fine because it has Starstreaks and the TY-90s definitely carry the Chinese helicopters lmao

Because that’s how spawn costs are calculated.
“Why is this vehicle that isn’t as good as another vehicle as expensive as the other vehicle of the same role that is better?”

Nah, you got me, I’m just a troll

How are you going to justify vehicles that are incapable of destroying tanks costing more SP than the ones capable of destroying tanks?

It seems your entire point is that 11.3 CAS is helpless against the new spaas.

One, everything will always be harder to fight in an uptier. Just how it is.

Two, they aren’t helpless. Its still 100% possible to kill them in an 11.3. Whether it be bombs or guns, low flying or extremely high flying. Its still possible.
Helicopters can still sit behind hills and mountains and quickly duck for cover.

Should we have BR decompression? Yes. Is CAS at 11.3 getting killed as soon as they spawn in? No.

I guess i just dont get it. Decompression is good, uptiers exist. It is what is.

I do some what agree that SPAA at least the new ones that have a 20km+ range should have an SP increase, its very dumb it only costs 70sp to spawn, easiest way to do this would be to split the SPAA into SHORAD and Heavy SPAA SHORAD keeps the 70SP and heavy SPAA goes up to like idk 150-200SP

I think it should be slightly different.
If the spaa cannot kill tanks, make it 70sp. If it can kill tanks (example being the gepard) it should be 140 or 150.

Paying 150-200 SP to larp as not one, but three buildings just hoping something spawns that you can shoot at…

All the while being a massive sitting duck to basically any ground unit that comes close.

issue with that is then you have things like SLM that is 70SP when it has more range then any CAS plane in game, its simillar to how people begged for CAS SP costs to go up I think heavy SPAA should have an increase in SPAA
