Implement Air Battles Maneuver Kills

Then why play the game at all? People play to get rp and sp so they can move forward in their trees. If people play just for the fun then having a reward or not by getting your missile to hit or getting them to crash doesn’t really matter then. Already spaded and at the end of the tree? Why care if there’s a reward or not? If you really don’t want to take away the fun of “genuine” kills, then seperate the names for Aircraft Destroyed and Meneuver Kill.

Because believe it or not, War Thunder isn’t literally JUST about the grind. I don’t think you realise how bad the game is until you actually unlock everything you want, the grind no longer matters. War Thunder literally depends on the incentive to kill people and the feeling of getting “Target Destroyed” or “Aircraft Destroyed”, take that away and you’ll lose a lot of the player base very quickly.

How exactly do they lose the feeling of getting “Target Destroyed” or “Aircraft Destroyed” by implementing a meneuver kill mechanic? I’d be bummed about getting into a firing position only for them to crash.

Do I seriously have to spell it out for you…?

Im not against that, but gaijin will twist it their way so it ends up being less rewards overall for the player.
Their post review bomb PR crusade with the roadmap is already over.

It’s literally adding another mechanic that will improve player rewards, stats for the maneuver kill, and an improvement of the proximity points the gaijin removed before. As you say, some players want that “genuine” kill that you so love, others also want their time and playstyle to be rewarded. Not EVERYONE is in the end of the tech tree. It gives players more whether they are behind an enemy plane using guns only or make them faceplant to the ground trying to dodge that missile. I am guessing you assume that a LOT want that “genuine” missile to plane dopamine effect.

They’re really not gonna feel like their time is being rewarded when all people will be playing are F-14s launching phoenixes from the other end of the map for easy RP and SL by just having their missiles go ‘near’ the enemy.

Fox 3s aren’t the only weapons in the game…

Honestly, this should be a thing.
Doesnt even have to be complicated.

You crash within 1km of enemy player, the enemy player gets the kill. If theres multiple, the closest one gets it or whoever has landed even 1 bouncing hit gets the kill.

Yeah, and there’s already a mechanic that credits the kill to the closest player. J’ing out gives the kill to the closest player even in GRB even with a max distance. J’ing out close to the tanks credits the closest tank but if you’re too far away, there’s no credit.

The OP is talking about using the ‘missile evasion’ mechanic as a basis, it’s incredibly relevant and rewarding players for having missiles go ‘near’ an enemy instead of actually hitting them is ridiculous.

Yeah, and that OP is me. I mentioned the missile evasion mechanic because that tells me that the game knows that a missile is head straight for you.

Or how about, try and kill the person with your cannon? Or use anything else if you missed? If they crash then so what? That’s one less enemy to deal with and most of your RP and SL gain comes from landing after destroying targets and/or getting kills, OR by winning.

That’s one kill that you could’ve got by picking another target and not wasting time. The “HE CRASHED BEFORE I COULD SHOOT HIM EEEUUUGGHHHH” you said in your earlier posts had me confused. There’s also the multiplier that goes into effect when you have 2, 3, and 4 kills. There’s wagers for kills. Points for event vehicles. You could’ve gotten more at the end of the game with that kill if only there was a maneuver kill mechanic. “There’s one less enemy to deal with”, bro there’s also one less enemy to deal with even with the mechanic AND you also get a reward. He’s dead even with the mechanic.

You realise that if every fight played out the same then War Thunder would be a lot more boring, right? You don’t get the kill 100% of the time, deal with it.

Genuinely how… you’re complaining more about not getting rewards instead of your team winning, which again, is where MOST of your rewards come from at the end result of the match.

RP & SL rewards from kills are already small enough that these ‘bonuses’ only put them back up to how they were before 2020 where you actually got a reasonable amount of RP and SL per match without premium. These bonuses are not as good as you think…

Barely anybody uses these, these aren’t even the best ones to use at that.

People who are actually grinding for event vehicles just bomb bases, getting kills is NOT the main way of grinding events and never has been, just an additional way to add more on.

The way YOU want a manoeuvre kill is just ridiculous, you shouldn’t be rewarded for a missile going NEAR an enemy, it literally just missed, that’s it. Someone crashes in front of you after chasing them to the border of the map? I’ll accept that, but getting rewarded for a radar missile missing an opponent and them crashing into the god-awfully implemented trees or by PL? No. That’s just way too easy, at that point you might as well be asking for free kills, War Thunder is not a point and clicking game.

You literally could if they implement it. People can get kills just by staying near enemy spawn in GRB and wait for drones to J out and getting the kill with 0 effort whatsoever. Dealing with it gets us how Gaijin operates today with their measly rewards.

You didn’t get a credit, what then? The match ends with you having 0 points. Not every match is a win… Maybe that 1 maneuver kill would’ve made that booster worth it even for just a little.

Then what’s wrong with maneuver kills supplementing and adding more to that?

Barely doesn’t mean no one. What’s the use of Wing breakers if no one uses them? They removed GL wagers, the least they can do is help in with the SL wagers.

You mean those bases that they moved further back several kilometers? Most players aren’t carrying bombs let alone enough for a full base. Most are full on CAP.

It’s a CRASH, he’s dead, he’s not alive. The guy literally face planted trying to dodge a missile. You MADE him crash because he was trying to dodge YOUR missile. That’s what a maneuver kill is. Doesn’t matter if there’s a hit or not, he crashed trying not to get hit. Hell, there doesn’t even need to be a missile present, just jets trying to maneuver to each other’s asses and crashing because of it.

Again, just sounds like you want free handouts in your case.

If you’re grinding SL by primarily using wagers, you’re already doing something wrong.

I still see people bombing bases, hell I still do it from time to time, this seems like more of a you issue. Besides, if you have such an issue with where the bases are on the map you were given, there are so many more targets to choose from, I don’t really know where you’re going with this.

Your second part of your statement is just plainly incorrect, 90% of the people who want to get the vehicles from the events that force you to literally treat the game like a job, are bombing… because it’s reliable and easy.

^ So you ARE saying you should get free hand outs then? In that case, there is no point even talking to you any more… since your objective is simply to just want a much, MUCH easier and sleazier way to be rewarded, which doesn’t really make you any better than Gaijin themselves, the way you want manoeuvre kills doesn’t make sense with the games formula of Air RB being intentionally HARD. That’s why getting only 5 kills (An Ace) is hailed as actually significant, and the fact that Gaijin decrease the amount of kills required in the very wagers you keep making a point of not being able to fulfil (for some reason…)

I’m not gonna be replying to you any further, since it only seems you are bent out of shape from the length of the grind and that you’re just throwing coins into a well wishing for a mechanic that would in effect give you free RP and SL.

It’s a supplement to your match earnings. I never said it was the main way to get SP but Maneuver kills would absolutely help in winning those.

Never said nobody bombs bases now, but there’s a lot more risk in getting bases due to the distance.

Bro this thread is literally for a mechanic that will get players more rewards. What did you expect? We are already getting credits for kills when you’re playing closest to enemy air when they J out. I have no idea why they implemented or the logic behind why a ground vehicle would get that kill but it’s already there. If it was a plane that was credited, I guess it’s okay, but a tank, nah. Why not implement something similar in ARB then? Maneuver kills, just like normal kills, are a thing. Unlike in GRB, you have the added difficulty of maneuvering yourself for a shot, and more than a dozen planes that could pounce on you. Not every plane has a missile and is a braindead F-14 where you climb, lock, and shoot a volley. A crash between a 109 and a spitfire also happens.
It’s not my fault you only have a dopamine rush seeing your missile hit another plane.

Wise decision.

Your exchange looked familiar, i found a vid with has some similarities.

Just imagine that you play the role of Joe Bauers:

Edit:

Being feedback resistant is no strength, same as flagging a rather funny vid.
