It’s time to implement maneuver kills in this game. How to implement it? Tie the kill to the missile evasion system. The game already has the missile evasion mechanic where it tells the player that it has evaded a missile. That means the game knows that a missile is headed towards the player. As for very close maneuver kills, just credit the kill to the closest players.
This has been posted so many times… and it has been argued time and time again why this feature isn’t feasible in being accurate all of the time. Even the “missile evasion” feature isn’t 100% accurate
It’s LONG overdue. Any death that would have otherwise counted as a suicide should go to the nearest player within X (probably 5) km. Simple as that.
“It wouldn’t always credit the ‘correct’ player” is not a counter argument, as it would still be crediting the correct player an infinitely higher percentage of the time compared to the current no-credit-for-anyone. It would also mean more consistent rewards, etc. There is no valid argument against it.
So in a furball, if an enemy trying to evade one of your teammates happens to accidentally crash under you, you get the (quite literally) free research and SL? Yeah, good luck trying to get Gaijin to implement that.
I mean they didn’t crash for no reason lol. Someone should get credit. In the long run it averages out and is fairly accurate.
No game developer, ever, would purposefully implement a mechanic that has a good chance of the playerbase earning free rewards from essentially doing nothing.
How many times would you receive RP for crashed enemy unjustly? Maneuver kills are too rare and too far between to skew the grind. More often I see crashes on purpose after bombing the base.
Im all for granting the closest plane with the reward if an undamaged enemy crashes.
Try going into top tier where you see people crashing into the terrible hit-boxes of the trees trying to multipath, then what?
idk happens like once in a 5 games that someone crashes while I am chasing them or they crash just before my missile is about to smack them.

Yes. It is not happening 10 times in one battle. Every battle.
Before we had passive rewards while you were near an enemy. This was to give rewards for people dogfighting. Even if you didn’t get the kill you still got rewarded because you dogfighthing someone probably helped your team get the kill. They removed this.
You should be rewarded if you are in a furball and an enemy crashes near you.
You should be rewarded if you are close to an enemy and they crash.
You should be rewarded if your missile was tracking and on target when the targets slams the ground.

Lmao, good luck trying to convince Gaijin to give you free SL and RP. The “near enemy” bonus was fine since that rewarded you for being active, which essentially got replaced with the “activity in battle” stats

I am discussing viability and if it is fair. What will gaijin do is different thing for sure.
Am I missing something here? Currently, if an undamaged enemy does a J-out the nearest eligible player gets the kill (up to a certain distance… maybe 5km, I’m not sure the exact figure)
