Yes. It is not happening 10 times in one battle. Every battle.

Before we had passive rewards while you were near an enemy. This was to give rewards for people dogfighting. Even if you didn’t get the kill you still got rewarded because you dogfighthing someone probably helped your team get the kill. They removed this.

You should be rewarded if you are in a furball and an enemy crashes near you.
You should be rewarded if you are close to an enemy and they crash.
You should be rewarded if your missile was tracking and on target when the targets slams the ground.

Lmao, good luck trying to convince Gaijin to give you free SL and RP. The “near enemy” bonus was fine since that rewarded you for being active, which essentially got replaced with the “activity in battle” stats

Am I missing something here? Currently, if an undamaged enemy does a J-out the nearest eligible player gets the kill (up to a certain distance… maybe 5km, I’m not sure the exact figure)

(or does that not happen anymore?)

Explain to me how it would be fair that a plane I was trying to chase in a furball accidentally crashed near a teammate whilst looking back at me with their camera, and the teammate closest would get the research and Silver Lions? There is no way to implement this currently in game, the game doesn’t record every little detail 24/7 in real time

Like yeah, it sucks that this happens, but there can’t be a foolproof way of implementing a good reward system without something recording the game in real time, all the time, the amount of data collected would be absolutely enormous and the servers tend to not run that well as it is.

Most of the time not anymore, the distance used to be huge

Just make it so you have to be within 10km of someone. It’s not hard man. And if it’s just a crash then God forbid someone gets an extra thousand RP in a million RP grind bro 🤣

You are absolutely right. But Id rather loose a reward from time to time, instead of not getting it ever.
See it as someone finishes a wounded enemy before you can score the final hit, and all you got is an assist.

Bro, what? How would the game decide who to give the reward to if multiple enemies are within that 10km zone?

It’s fair because currently no one gets any credit ever period. It’s fair because that team mates position relative to the furball means the enemy was also evading that player, even if you didn’t realize it. It’s fair because at least someone is getting some reward which is drastically better than it is now.
Why advocate for no change on a simple strawman argument that has its own advantages?

This would be good but, i don’t see how Gaijin would be able to implement this without software recording the battle in real time
