its a casemate with no MG, and essentially no armor, and worse reloading. 400mm cant even pen through the T-34 ERA (fuel tank) if you want proof i can send it right away.
IKV103 only good is when people knows how to play it. its not your average jagdpanther, its a support gun. i even shot its heat rounds usually more than 300m away to take advantage of its low velocity rounds.
Dont forget that you can kill it with a 5.56 mg from the front btw
taking it down to 3.3 will also remove some of the incentive you might have to play other even crappier swedish SPGs. Bad move all around.
Velocity and post pen damage, those are insanely big changes
people has its own playstyle, u can try using ikv103 sitting behind a hill, ranging and use its low velocity and short gun breech to basically lob the heatfs.
but still different people different taste, as for me i dont like BT-42 cz of its slow turret slewing rate
Driver port glass is 5mm and gunner is exposed, you can literally stop it from shooting and moving lol
Post pen damage increase is marginal and the 100m/s doesn’t make a difference when the average engagement range is 200m
at that point its more viable bringing the spj fm/43-44 than the ikv103 kek

I would go feral for a prem BT-42 with netting, seriously I’ve got a goal to go to 11.3 and hunt BMPTs my goal is to make them fear me.
Unfortunately the fins hated the BT’s cause they were terrible and Russia was too poor and unprepared for a war with the Fins that they couldn’t handle proper repairs on their vehicles so when the fins captured them most vehicles were insanely overworked or poorly put together. (An engineers report mentions a guy trying to blow up a pile of BT’s out of hate that he had to work on them lol)
