Wires strewn across spaces (especially valleys) were common too, with many examples in Korea.
While lesser examples of this already exist (a la the guide cables of the big antenna tower on Cargo Port), they are not presented in the manner I am referring to.
Era I,II,III 4 planes
Era IV,V,VI 3 planes
Era VII,VIII 2 planes
Points for sponsoring the plane must be tripled.
Refueling must be at least 5 min or there will be no redeployment for the plane just used.
“Optional but welcome to have the machine guns on the turrets automatically fire on approaching planes like in naval battles”
In theory yes it would balance the game and in reality never going happen because people spend money on premium planes then on tanks. TO mode making premium planes useless almost except for ARB and SB. Nobody would buy prem planes or spend GE on faster research.
I made an on-topic post that we need to buff CAS furtherbecause it apparently is not breaking the game enough.
And I guess CAS mains flagged it as off topic. Hilarious
Well, at some point we have to stop pretending it’s mixed battles. Ground is CAS fodder. I’d just like to fully embrace it and allow everyone to just bomb the opposing non soviet team to hell. Nowadays only a small group with certain MRLS can do that early gane but still, happened to me twice in the span of 10 games (on 2 different days, not the same people). If that’s how the game is supposed to be played, add it to tech tree and lets just spawn Yak-9K 30s into the game. Someone wants to enjoy tnak on tank combat? Apparently they are not Gaijin Target Demographic anyway, so who cares?
Something I thought the other day is to force pilots, at least in top tier in both GSB and GRB, is to force built-in MFDs as the primary method of aiming.
I feel like having a 16:9 full screen 1080p image as the TGP/Seeker display is a massive advantage and makes aiming way too easy, it would also make MFDs a bit more useful in general and the game would be a bit more immersive and challenging at the same time. (Some MFDs pod displays are super detailed, but we never get to see them in action 😄)
just add a 5 minute timer before any CAS could spawn in GRB
or do a 2 minute timer and adding ordinance to the vehicle increases the timer based on the SP cost of the ordinance
Increase spawn cost for aircraft, make dynamic spawn cost for specific load outs. More ordinance=more spawn points. Perhaps move to planes further away from the battle, reduce amount of planes allowed to be spawned by a single player per match
God forbid to taunt enemy player in no offensive manner.
also, yap session:
Maybe i do it, because i want people to talk with each other. Like, i remember good old days, when games did not have MM and random battles, and people were playing on dedicated servers, forming small communities, making friends etc. In this days we have MM with random battles, where you play against randoms you will never see again.
And i liked how in old days people were chatting about random things. Today, 80% of the battles are completly mute, or just rude remarks.
If typing something to provoke somebody to reply (not really offensive) makes people talk with each other, with competetive manner, then i will be doing that.
It makes me feel less like single player game against bots.
Hahaha, just tried the “just use SPAA”. Yak-9K was clobbering my teammates while flying in a relatively irregular fashion. Fired around 1000 20mm rounds without scoring a SINGLE hit.
I’m not very experienced with SPAA. But I’m damn good in Air RB. I can predict trajectories just fine. And unless Yak-9K is like 400m away - GL. If he’s 400m away that’s because he just 1-shot you and is pulling up. GL HF. SPAA is so frustrating.
My fix? Just buff CAS some more so nobody plays SPAA outside of soviet magical ones with twice the range and firepower.
