At least you are honest enough to recognise that Tanks Only would be the best thing for the game, but it won’t happen because of people who rely on hiding in the sky to get free eliminations.
That that fairy tale is still being told doesn’t mean it is accepted…among the community, that line is actually something of a joke.

C’mon…that’s about as convincing as saying you buy the fold-out magazines ‘for the articles’ and you know it.
While it’s is easier to claim that TO is being suppressed by some grand conspiracy by Gaijin, the Illuminati or Auric Goldfinger, the harsh reality is that TO has been neglected–and by its own supporters too.
TO would actually have a decent chance at implementation if someone bothered to press Gaijin with the ‘trigger queue’ idea and a sober proposal about it…and yet no one has.
The trigger queue concept offers the same sort of mechanism as the night battles toggle…while not a ‘mode’ per se, it’s better than nothing at all.
TO supporters could help the TO cause by getting serious about it…stop complaining about dying to aircraft and start pressing for the the TQ approach to TO.
People play Ground Battles to grind their tanks, simple as. People play Ground Battles to play with tanks. I assure you, not everyone is coming into Ground Battles to play with their planes. Better yet, why is Ground Battles the only mode where you have to grind out three seperate tech trees just to have a chance: Tanks (obviously), Helis, and Planes. No other mode requires you to have a lineup like that. Only Ground is littered with multiple tech trees when majority of players want to grind OR play with their tanks.

Given what is logical and seen in-game, it seems likelier most (not all) are indeed in for CA gameplay.
You certainly don’t have to have all three (I don’t even bother with choppers myself)–but having more options does make you more dynamic in battle.
A player in RB GFs can forego aircraft and/or helicopters if they wish…they can even shun certain GF vehicles too. Aside from tree unlock conditions, little forces you to do anything.

I’m sorry, but CAS players are obviously in the minority. As I said, I do CAS as well, but I would enjoy having a Tanks Only mode as well. I shouldn’t have to be bombed hundreds of times when I’m trying to spade my tanks
Improve the SEAD mode, make it viable at all technology brackets. Boom, done.
Also, start fixing Enduring Confrontation bugs and give us better missions. Boom, done. Oh, and make an RB variant.
When I want to play my planes, some of which I paid for, I play air modes.
When I want to play with my tanks, I don’t want to be coerced into taking out a plane (whose controls I have utterly butchered and cba to keep a ARB/GRB optimized control setup anymore). If I have to take out a plane, I’ll go back to ASB EC.
Which is what I’ve been doing the past few weeks/months. I try to play GRB, I see there being like at least 8 planes in the air (adding up friendly and hostile), “Return to hangar” and go back to flying ASB.
I do not see any real basis to this comment honestly. Considering all the tankers who fly we see, I’d suggest the opposite is true.
Based on how many people visibly use AFs and GFs, I’d speculate support for CA is likely closer to 75%+ than <50% or lower.
When Gaijin releases the surveying data, we’ll find out I guess.

I am against TO mode.
I don’t mean this to piss people off, but i think it’s the best for the game.
It’s vital to remember that not all who fly and drive want to do it at the same time, or in the same game mode type.
I love my planes. I don’t want to use my planes while driving a tank.
I have mostly aircraft hours played(244h SB + 200h RB), not tank hours (145+35+16).
This does not mean I want a combined arms mode.
This means I’d play tanks more if I could actually play them without being repeatedly told “just spawn CAP if you don’t want to be CAS’d” (to which the answer is: “OK, I’ll go fly planes in dedicated plane mode.”)
Yes–it is difficult to gauge exact intentionality without consultations.
That’s why I used the word “speculate” and will emphasize that it’s not a definitive determination. The percentage of WT players here for CA certainly isn’t 100%…nothing in life is ever 100%.
Even so, I tend to believe more people come to this CA for CA than not. It’s the logical expectation.
I’m aware you’re against it, but by the way you’re talking, it seems like you abuse CAS.
Just because people use CAS does not mean they wouldn’t like a TO mode. I use CAS because it’s essentially a necessity at this point to grind two or three seperate tech trees just to have a line up for ground. TO mode would allow tank players to play tanks and not deal with no-skill players who rely on bombs to get elims.
There is no “abuse”.
It’s a legit part of the game which i enjoy, same as tanks.
