I’m glad you experienced that.
Defending yourself feels good.
15hrs in a SPAA vs 57 days in a Fighter gametime total. Yeap, just require more time spent on a SPAA to understand how to play them. It’s easy on fighters due to the amount of time you spent flying them to know and predict shell trajectories.
Too bad typical scenario is Yak-9k vs Ystervark where Yak is cirtualky unhittable and one shots you at will. Or 37mm halftrack vs several cannon or .50 cals that practically outrange you. Pure fun. SPAA is good vs bombers and some attackers. Vs small and nimble fighters it generally sucks. And I think this is how Gaijin intended. SPAA gameplay is the punishment for not being able to spawn a plane. The only nation with truely good SPAAs is also Soviets, Just in case you wanted to dogfight or chase that Yak-9K. Truely the experience of all time.
Dude, I kill SPAAs left and right.
I guess other players are not doing good either.
Also it’s not even about aim, as I can clearly see that by the time my shells reach the place where the target would be, it already has changed the course as Yak-9K can dodge all day while easily killing people left and right.
Wyvern can “only” slap you from 1200m away.
Outside of Soviet SPAAs with best range and excellent 1-shot kill ability (Soviet 14,5mm MG hits harder than 20mm), SPAAs generally do not work.
And even if you get into map middle to shoot that Yak short range, you’ll get smacked by a tank because nerfed 20mm HVAP can’t kill anything nowadays.
Why not just buff CAS and make ground players suffer some more? The whole point of playing tanks nowadays is spawning a plane ASAP. Guys wirh MLRS are in the air 30s into the game. Lets embrace this gameplay and rename tanks to “fodder” so nobody is mistaken.
There are some good SPAAs out there that are not soviet, but in most cases You will do as well in SPAA as an air user allows You to.
For you I guess not. I cannot say the same thing.
Period.
If you want to try a pretty competent AA play some with M247.
Then don’t get mad at players playing the game and bettering you… /thread.
That’s often people leaving because they are giving up, which isn’t part of the game but a bad player choice.
What’s this got to do with the hate you display for players playing the game?
Yea, I don’t think this is going to be anything worthy, but go on…
Doesn’t sound like you’re looking for any conversation in this instance, so stop lying…
What even is this? You’re just trying to avoid that you’re toxic… lol.
That’s just you… You don’t have to be so fixated on the only reason for you communicating, being that you got bombed…
Pretty simple really.
They “work”. At the same skill level as scoring RP-3 hits from 900m away or 1500m consistent snipes with 45mm.
In other words - it works when SPAA operator is VASTLY more skilled than all the pilots in the air. Vastly because if the pilots are any good, they will go eye for an eye at worst, and just consistently kill the SPAA in the most likely scenario.
I suck at ground attack. I kill far more SPAAs than any other type of vehicle because even with MG151/20 they can be killed from 1000m away, and at 1000m away and going 500km/h I can cover 200m before even Soviet SPAA shell reaches me.
So there IS a chance for SPAA against planes… WHO’D HAVE THUNK?!
SPAA usable against aircraft?. Definetly a marketing lie :P
It’s that Big-Armor marketing tactic xD
I belive relying on air player being vastly less skilled than You is not what we call balance
What’s that got to do with this?
Nothing was said about Air, stop harrasing me.
I’m just mearly pointing out things:
Relying on enemy air being vastly less skilled than SPAA player is not what balance is.
Wouldn’t you know, not everyone has the same skill, or thinking, so things play out different.
Hoping that someone is just less skilled is just straight negative… The boogyman you make out on the regular is there is no counter, and they can’t be got, you’ll never accept that they could be less skilled or just plain unlucky…
Hell, you may not even be the sole SPAA out…
All of this comes to the point that your want to paint out planes as invulnerable, arguments as being about skill, and only skill, as well as reflective stats because you’re just so addicted to checking that crap to deem anyone worthy, is just so deadset on assumption and fearmongering to support your wanted mode.
That’s all… If you were genuinely about discussion and actually conversing, then you’d accept some of these points, but because you’re just you, it’s just beyond reason…
Likewise balancing air based around the idea that ground players will always be bad at the game doesnt work either.
You really haven’t read the comment You have cited when writing this, right?
Because this is what the author have written:
So yea, it is negative and relying on that to call it a balance is not good.
Of course it doesn’t.
The issue is You really can’t balance ground vs air gameplay as air will always have the upper hand no matter how You look at it. Air is moving in 3 dimensional space, and in most cases it doesn’t have to engage the SPAA in order to still destroy ground targets.
There are better options than just giving you a safe gamemode to play in, and there are better alternatives of fixes to make it better for those who are more lacking.
Indeed it doesn’t, but it does so at its own peril… I wait until they are lined up on target and then drop them, because they aren’t looking at my SPAA, and they’re ending up fixated, and if they wish to keep on target they have to risk that I’m not going to hit them.
I pointed directly at your statement, making out that it was the only thing you could hope for…
Why not a safe mode?
My gameplay in Ground RB: score 1 assist or similar thing, jump into plane, a few ground kills and some plane kills while never touching tanks again, unless I lose 2 planes, then I can go do some tanking, preferably in a bushed up heavy so people don’t even know what they are facing. Hope I’ll get more bushes because they are hilariously OP and pay2win.
I play this way because it’s simply way easier and more relaxing. Most Ground RB plane users are horrible and easy kills in general for my plane.
It doesn’t stop them from completely dominating the ground in most matches when I’m not in the air or vastly outnumbered or just crash myself cause I suck at bombing, lol.
Anyway, when not in the air, I recommend a lot of bushes so people don’t even know what they are facing even if they can see you, and they often can’t. Very funny stuff, GJ Gaijin.
