Because planes have potential to wipe the entire team. You shouldn’t be given a “kill everyone” button for doing well. CAS shouldn’t be like a kill streak, it should be just another vehicle you gain access to for doing well. The fact that you enter a contested air space should be represented properly.

Well, this isn’t a top-tier only thread so:
- SPAA effective gun range before radar ~600-850 meters against a plane that isn’t flying slowly in a straight line
- Dive-bombing doctrine for US (P-47):
- Climb to 3 km altitude, 400 KPH
- Align with bomb target
- Begin dive turn at 70 degrees
- Release at 900 meters
- Recover by 500 meters
- Dive bombing doctrine for and germany (Bf109/Fw190):
- Climb to 2km altitude, 400 KPH
- Align with bomb target
- Begin dive turn at 70 degrees
- Release at 500 meters
- Recover by 200
Note how little time an aircraft using proper approach to dive bombing spends within effective SPAA range.
Hot to balance CAS?
Start by increasing the cost to spawn in a plane WITH ordinance by at least 50-60%, no one should be rewarded with a multi-kill machine for an assist and/or maybe a CAP.
Lower the cost of pure fighters(with air belts only) without ordinance so they can be spawned in more easily.
Increase rewards for killing planes, they are prime targets and should be treated as such, so frustrating to kill 4-5 planes in an SPAA and getting half the rewards of anybody else when you are saving your team.
Allow for manual setting of fuzes ranges(timer) with a keybind instead of the rangefinder which just doesnt work at all, ALL HE SPAA shells and their derivatives should get variable fuzes and player should be able to set the range on them so you can create real fragmentation barrage in the airs, practical range of most spaas is only about 1km at most anyways so they can always avoid the killzone.
Put AI spaa squads scattered around the map and increase the effective range of missile SPAA’s.
Put a limit on numbers of planes allowed in the air like in enlisted, it happens way too often that there are 5-6 enemy and friendly planes in the airs at all times.
Creation of a ground only mode.
Allow every lineups 1 FREE SPAA slot independent from their vehicle lineup but it should be spawned in a fix position outside of map bounds so it can’t interfere with players on the map, they should solely focus on planes and should be spawned in after you have expanded all your vehicles, allowing players to stay in the match until the end of it.
These are only a few ideas that could be put to help balance CAS but honestly, the majority of poeple just want a dedicated ground mode without CAS at all in it.

Yes, I am a toxic pilot who wants a development of gameplay, large maps, long battles, new mechanics and game modes. I’m not a tankman who needs small infantry maps and modes for capturing white circles in a bare field.
You, tankers, ruined Ground RB in WT and you deserved every kh-38 and JDAM on your tank.
Gaijin should put EF2000, su-34, su-30 and rafale at 13.7 BR in GRB.

Unfortunately, the developer does not know how to admit his mistakes and does not know how to fix them. Even 1 maverick costs the same as 6 X-38.
The same nonsense applies to the prices of ammunition belts for airplanes.
being forced to use Default on the F-4EJ Kai because it is 1mm over the 39mm limit is crazy work. Cannot even use Air Target belt because it has a couple 40mm penn rounds (like 165sp iirc)

Already 17 days since the first report of Sabra’s mantlet cover not moving along with the turret, today I launched the game to find they still hadn’t fixed it, I suspect they hadn’t even seen the report.

so, random player rushes point, promptly Js out and spawns a plane.
while im on my second spawn not even 5 seconds after spawning in i get killed by a 2000lb bomb.
while the rest of my team (including me) are getting thrashed by cas, bearing in mind there is nothing we can realistically do about it (br 6.0) we lose and most matches i have are ruined by cas players. and generally by the end of the match there are only about 1-3 tanks on the other team, the rest are in planes denying any chance of doing anything.
like its stupid that someone can get 1 kill, then spawn a fully loaded plane and get multitudes of kills by pressing 3, its the most braindead unskillful gameplay ever. and this across all brs.
there should at least be a toggle between grb with cas and grb without.
