In the bottom right, where the “M829A2 cannot penetrate @ 1km” comes from, it says it’s a T-90 and you can tell by looking at it that it is one.
Although to be fair the rest of the document does seem to be detailing a T-80BVM ERA package. I think the bottom right, with the T-90, is there to show the efficacy.

The bottom right ones have the profile of a T-72B3 from the looks of it.
That’s what I thought the whole diagram was at first, then noticed the odd exhausted and era placement of the T80B, but looking more like the T72.
It honestly looks like a crappy mashup, so without real data, and good diagrams I’m not sure if I would ever consider it a reliable source.
Don’t trust ERA statcards in game, they’re usually wrong. The K-1 on the side of the T-72B is listed as stopping 400mm of CE, but in reality is about half as effective when hitting it with HEATFS in game.
Secondary source at best, though to be honest I don’t disagree with the things I can read. Like I said the “M829A2 cannot penetrate @ 1 km” doesn’t imply that it can be penetrated under 1 km

Oh I don’t trust the in game values… using a Turm III I’ve been able to kill T-90A’s hitting the worst part to hit on the era on the side and killing the T90a… so yeah… I don’t trust it in the slightest. All while using HEAT-FS
Except it can. and there were 3 sources that stated it. M829A3 is virtually unaffected by ERA. and can go through the entire tank and have enough force left to penetrate to hit the tank behind it.
I believe you’re confusing M829A2 and M829A3, the previous discussion was about the former.
My statement about that specific source not directly stating that it can be penetrated under 1 km by M829A2 is still true.
only the simple fact is that M829A2 can infact penetrate k5 from 1km and under. This game does not represent any american ammo correctly let alone german british or french ammo. K5 was never a magical defeat all projectiles type of add on. i don’t know where gaijin gets this magical russian ERA concept from or how they can even sit at say M829A3 wouldnt have any effect on relikt or anything else. Everything in this game is made to favor the russians.
Both the rounds can penetrate russian armor with ease.
The discussion wasn’t about K-5, but Relikt.
Besides, M829A2 can penetrate tanks with K-5 in their UFP in game.
It seems you’re the one having trouble understanding new gen ERA.
Nobody has said that it wouldn’t. The argument is that it doesn’t need to be added to the game for balancing reasons.

What are you on about, russian MBTs have some of the most susceptible (to fatal damage) LFPs on a top tier MBT, i understand that looking over your long nose of bias may be difficult but you cannot be serious

And even then, 3BM60 cannot simply ‘lolpen’ a leopard or abrams UFP, the abrams will ricochet and the leopard will eat it, so once again Sartt is spewing purely biased dribble

you are literally looking at the abrams from below the tank where no gun from a T series will ever fire. you then have the ANGLE facing up at a angle where it is impossible. You people can’t even use the protection analysis.
