No, I’m not rage baiting because the logic you are using matches what someone who hates America would say.
-You want the M1 moved to a BR (11.3) where it will just be worse than the IPM1, and it would leave the rather good 10.7 lineup without an MBT.
-You think that the T-72B is somehow good compared to the M1, when it is far inferior and the only positive is the modern round that holds it up.
If you aren’t a Russian propagandist, then I suggest you play some other countries and get some experience with their vehicles. The grass is always greener.
Explain to me why the addition of the M900 would bring the M1 closer to the M1A1 (better armor and lethality) and the IPM1 (better armor, same lethality) by jumping not one but two entire BR steps
It’s honestly baffling how you’d prefer to cover your eyes ignoring that the M1 is literally the worst Abrams in the game (even the 120S is better, and it’s half M60) instead of doing the only thing reasonable enough to help resolve the problem (because lowering the BR will result in many people angry because a 10.0/10.3 vehicle stomps 9.0/9.3)
It has better protection (less weak spots and therefore better to hide them) compared to the M1 and, despite having a longer reload (and an autoloader module) it has a fantastic shell as its BR capable of defending itself
Every time i hear this story,i always hear the same people saying “eugh the M774 is perfect for 10.7 so the Abrams doesn’t need balance”,and those are the same people that haven’t touched the M1 in ages and ignore how fighting 11.7 with the M774 is (spoiler:you can’t do that)
So i’d suggest you this:bring the Abrams to 11.7 (so you’ll experience the uptiers on 10.7 but on a much more frequent basis) and tell me if you can manage to get good results with the Abrams
It would be possible just do corner flanking not trying to get in a fight.
To be honest M900 is already at 10.3 with the 1128. Now couple that with a 5 second reload you don’t have a 10.7 vehicle any more. But M833 should be a reasonable add to the M1 while leaving it at its br. Maybe with m833 the m1 could go down to 10.3 idk
The M900 is already inside the 1128,but the 1128 is at
10.3 and not over 10.7? Because it lacks the protection to withstand even autocannons,so the lethality outmatches the protection
The base Abrams lacks the protection,so that needs to be outmatched by lethality. Lethality in this case equals to M900. Corner flanking is not a useful tactic in EVERY map,so you need a round that is good both for close-range and for long-range,and the M900 is the answer.
Stock reload is 6.5s,which is reduced to 5.8 with max command and reload skill,≈5.3 with Expert Crew (which costs SL) and then Ace Crew (which costs GE,unless you want to grind hundreds of thousands of XP)brings it to 5s
Many people stops at Expert Crew,so the 5s reload argument is not valid, and the same applies to every tank with manual reload
Is the stock reload still faster that other tanks?Yes
Ok I see what you are saying. Must have gotten lost between all the back and forth. At 10.7 maybe M900. I would rather see M833 then if it needs more of a boost give it M900.
You add it with a 5 second reload and we will see the results. I don’t think jumping to a 500+ pen round is necessarily the answer right away. Im not sure if it warrents only a .4 br difference from a TD with the same round slower reload.
That’s kinda disingenuous. They do have armor. Inconsistent armor, sure, but the cheeks are quite protected, favoring hull down gameplay (use the M1A1 HC for best results). And the M829A2 has been quite handy for the clickbait and US teams on bumping winrates a little bit. Regarding the M1 Abrams, its round is quite decent, it doesn’t have the best postpen damage, but it’s still quite doable.
While i agree that changes to the Abrams tank series should be made for the greater good (like switching the material of the turret neck), it’s no where near the worst MBT in the game, it’s aggresively mid, and its skill ceiling demands way more game knowledge than Leopards 2A5/A6/A7V and T-80BVM/T-90M to make it work.
The results are the same with the M774: being unable to confront any frontal turret at medium to long distances, something you’ll find pretty frequently
And that Light Tank (since the M1128 is labeled as such) has 2+ gen thermals,a (mostly) crewless turret, scouting,UAV and better optics (and Commander sights),so it would not be dethroned by a simple addition
While crewless unless it was fixed from the last time i used it. Breeching the cannon resulted in ammo det. It may have better thermals but the Abrams still has thermals added with better mobility. I would rather see this done in increments. That or you could give the M1 M900 jump it to 11.0 and then drop it back to 10.7 if needed.
M774 is way worse than the other ammo at the BR. M833 is still worse but is more competitive. It would still literally have the worst ammo for a MBT at the BR AFAIK.
