TLDR:br confused, j-11a and a-5c should not increase BR
Seriously, how exactly does Gaijin balance these aircraft?
The J-11A has a worse radar than the Su-30MKK and Su-30MK2. It can only provide mid-course guidance updates for one R-77 at a time, while the Su-30s can support two.
And then there’s the RWR. The J-11A is still stuck with the same outdated SPO-15 as the original Su-27, while both premium Su-30s get a much better digital RWR, similar to the one on the Su-27SM.
Sure, the J-11A has better flight performance and MAWS, but does that really make up for its inferior radar and terrible situational awareness?
And now you’re telling me the J-11A deserves to go up to 13.7, the exact same BR as the Su-30MKK and MK2?
Based on what, exactly? A slightly lighter airframe?
Oh, and speaking of questionable BR changes, the A-5C has to be the funniest joke I’ve seen in this entire list.
A MiG-19-based attacker that’s barely supersonic at low altitude, with only TWO rear-aspect missiles, no IRCCM, and just 18 countermeasures, is somehow being moved up to 11.0?
Meanwhile, the J-7D is faster, has much better high-speed handling, can carry FOUR PL-7s (basically Chinese Magic 1s), and gets 72 countermeasures. Yet it somehow stays at 10.7?
So let me get this straight: the J-11A deserves the same BR as the better-equipped Su-30s, but the A-5C deserves a HIGHER BR than the J-7D?
What exactly is Gaijin using to balance these aircraft? Because it certainly doesn’t look like their actual combat capabilities.
