But tbf you’re comparing a F5C to one of the most miss model jets in the game. Comparing the F-5C to the J-7D shows how under tried the J-7D is.
If im not mistaken. When there is a major update. It breaks replays unless you rename them or something. Even then they might not still work. Its to do with not having to keep the replay compatible with outdated mecahnics or something

Becuase in its current state, the F-5C is an absolute menace for flareless, subsonics at 9.7 and annoying as hell to do with in most 10.3/10.7 aircraft. Where the J-7D might be good, its rare. I barely ever see them personally. Entire lobbies can be filled with the F-5C.
And in a 1v1, I genuinely have no idea who would win. Id put it on the skill of the pilots and less on the aircraft themselve.
Because you don’t play air rb at this br apparently, because if you did you’d find them in every match

The last few times i’ve taken the FRS1e into ARB, I dont think i’ve seen a single one. Just a wall of F-5s

I play at a high level and simply know my jets. You cry about a lot more than I do so no point trying to insult me over me having legitimate gripes. The F-5’s thermal signature obviously overperforms as the community has noted.

Maybe the r-73 at range but that’s not how the 9M would work.
I’ve had a 9M defeated by a single tap flare from an F-5E before.
That just means they weren’t paying attention. They’re impossible to kill if the F-5 is aware of their surroundings.
I own the ROC F-5A which is the same but with 9Ps, and I can confirm that it is incredibly good. Most of my kills in it aren’t even from missiles. It should go up, but it can’t because it is worse than the F-5E.
And back to the main topic, which is about the J-7D being undertiered which is factual. Pl-5Bs are fast, with good range, and the J-7 is a solid platform as well. It should be 11.0 in its current state.
Idk how that would work based on the 9Ms seeker but ok. I guess it is what it is and the F5c engines are broken.
I had a British Phantom do that once to a 9L/i that I fired from 2 km away.
Probably LCM + throttle down + a whole heaping of luck.
Well TBF the 9ms are missing some stuff that could make them better.
The J-7D definitely should be higher.
The Kfir Gderot has comparable performance, inferior missile count and comparable missile performance but sits at 11.0 while the J-7D is below it.
I argue the PL-5B is literally the best rear aspect IR missile in the game, period. Magic 1, sidewinders from USAF and USN, K-13, R-60 and others are just outright worse in the majority of scenarios.

Ah yes, the MiG 21 with only rear aspect missiles should be at the same BR where everyone gets radars and all aspects
