According to the leaks of the loadouts there will only be 4 Fakour-90’s and AIM-54A’s and not 6 that the Iranian F-14 is going to use. You got the amount of Sedjil’s and R-27R1’s correct
granted it is a early leak so things are still subject to change
It should absolutely be able to carry 6 Fakour missiles, but yeah everything else makes sense. The 2 Sedjils is historical (as irl the outer pylons had to be strengthened to carry them there, and only there).
I got more info on the Su-35’s that Iran is procuring, the Su-35 in question were intended for the Egyptian Airforce however they cancelled them in the last moment due to external pressures
I recently came into possession of a TON of unique photos of Iranian Aircraft, munitions, and Helicopters. Would anyone like me to screenshot them and post them here?
Well, this is not quite true, but it is compared in appearance with GBU-12. In general, it looks very much like the AGM-65 with a semi-active laser (SAL) GPS mounted on the nose.
Fattir is an improvement of the Aim-9J/P for the Iranians.
It’s literally just an Aim-9P3 but with apparently a better motor? The sources are scarce and some are wildly unbelievable.
My apologies, I thought you were replying to his question about the Fattir, not the GBU. I was like, no the upgraded Aim-9P3 is not radar guided looool
I’m aware it’s spelled Fatir in the image, likely Fattir, Fater, and Fatir that I see everywhere may be translation errors. Similar to how Sedjil is the common used same for the Hawk mounted to the F-14, but the word Sedjeel is written in the side of the missile.
And yes, although the Sæqeh has a working radar, so does the F-5E ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Perhaps they’ll do what the F-5G/F-20 engineers and the F-5E Tiger III team did and mount rails for either Sparrows or Derbys lol. I mean these are the guys who strapped fricken Hawks to their F-14s, don’t see why they would end up doing that someday lol.
For now, the best they got is some R-73s, Fattirs, Pl-5/7s probably, and Aim-9P3s. And only 2 of them at that…
