Hull down meta sucks

Yep, or cut out the middle man and just play GSB. most of my event tokens have come from pure GSB CAS

I always wanted to try GSB. My problem is i can’t play with my keyboard and have the stick set up at the same time.

Yeah, same. I tried to set up a mixed profiile, but it didnt work. Id have to swap control profiles and move the HOTAS out the way before playing tanks. So its one or the other. Though with my set-up, the swapping of controls is the more annoying of the 2 (big desk)

Shameless suggestion plug

GSB ground is fairly decent and I enjoy it more than GRB, but I only like about 3 of the rotations, so its a few times a week I can play it, if I want to.

Sounds like you need to play lower BRs, because you’re okay to CQB in them, since most maps are CQB these days.

We’re playing War Thunder, after all

Same issue controls i can manage, i have 2 save files.
But i aso have the “physical” issue. I have the obutto setup where you can mount the stick in the middle and move they keyboard away with a tray, but you obviously can’t play with the stick in the way of the tray.

Was my ban until Abandoned Town, that map is absolute piss, the worst since 3-cap Domination Novorossiysk, but at least Novo was so bad it was funny.

When are they just going to give everyone an additional 1 or 2 bans.

Should be 1 default, then another 1-2 if you have a premium account.

Hence why i’m a believer that Gaijin should do changes to most of their 7.7+ maps, favoring long range engagements.

That quote relies entirely on the type of vehicle you’re using. Of course it’ll be sweaty for you if you’re using a low profile soviet tank, and so CQB can be sweaty for someone playing NATO stuff with barely any hull protection.

But let’s move on, since sweatiness is not a relevant point at all considering top tier’s nature.
Top tier needs range, advance to the rhine is the antithesis to such. Again, you’re playing with vehicles equipped with:
-Laser rangefinders
-Stabilized guns
-Thermal optics
-12x zoom
-Spall liners (for most of them)

And you really expect me to use all those assets over Advance to the Rhine, Alaska and basically CQB maps to have the same exact gameplay as a Panther or a Sherman? Bug off.

If think it’s very fun to drive around in a city with the centauros commander sight because the gunner sight has such a high base zoom that you can see to the next map.

Leopard I with insane high base zoom vs XM-800/BTR/Foxes in CQB = peak war thunder

it isn’t just top tier

Little one is just missing the stabilizer which even some modern tanks do have so He counts :)

Nah, the definition of delusion is thinking your favorite playstyle is everyone’s favorite and that they must be forced to play the way to you want to.

Many of our maps has got a vast open area in the very middle, for me that is the issue. Rhine has got Alpha square and forest, but also building to block sights. West of Sinai, SW of El Almein, Mid Attica and Highway of Flanders are those with openness but not visual blocks, leading to a high chance of killing and being killed - Shooting across the map so you are to tiny to be found, Being shot from across the map cuz someone could just be anywhere within 200degs in front of you

Might be a reason for Get a kill and be killed in the next second thing.

Ok, what exactly what do you want to tell me ?

True, though I think I prefer that than having someone sneak past up behind you or shoot you as you go round a corner with no chance of retaliation

I’m 100% for the sneaky way lol. Absolute hardcore fps gameplay based on routes, positioning and SA

The meta I’m feeling now is more a arcady fps thing… So uncivilized xD

I just don’t have the mindset for that kind of aggression. I prefer the defensive, slower pace

I think you’re relating to yourself on that one.
