The British didn’t fit it onto their aircraft as far as I am aware and they didn’t confirm their purchase so I still don’t think they should get it if they only sent pilots to test it on foreign vehicles. And if that is the case can we just take times countries tested other countries’ vehicles and ask gaijin to give it to both countries?
Edit: There were test dones with Italy, German and UK pilots in Manching, Germany. According to one of the sources on the Bug report that got accepted.
Respectfully, what experience tho? These are the first 90+ degree radars in the game and i think neither of us 2 have the other EFT on the dev and we obviously havent played them in an actual live game. Ofc theres a chance that im completely wrong and itll make no difference but just according to the basic rules ARH engagements play by it should be a noticeable advantage. Im glad that you mentioned the SM2, because that thing will essentially do what the UK EFT does but even better and with more and better missiles. And while 90 vs 100 might not be a crazy difference 90 vs 120 sure is
But directly after that comes 90 vs more than 90. No one said overwhelming impact but it will be plain and simply better. And like you said yourself were not only talking about EFT on EFT violence and the bigger the difference the more impact those 10 degrees will have.
The aircraft was the IPA7, tested indeed in Germany but by test pilots from Germany, UK and Italy. So the aircraft is a consortium aircraft and tested by ALL 3 nations.
Italian and UK pilots flew the AMK, therefore they tested it. This is the reason, probably, why the report is for all 3 nations and not only for Germany. Germany however DID NOT test the ECRS mk.2, which leads to them not having it ingame.
The RAF tested F16s in the USA when they wanted a multirole jet. So since the RAF tested them and the pilots were from Britian so should Britian get f16s?
Clearly moving the goalpost, it’s obvious that this was made solely because of the fact the Eurofighter is the aircraft flown by all 3 nations that are in a consortium.
All three those countries have the Eurofighter, yes but Germany has made their own significant modifications/ upgrades that Britian and Italy doesn’t have and can’t get therefore only Germany should get them. So unless youre telling me that a country sending pilots to another country to test an aircraft allows them to get that vehicle themselves Germany should be the only country to get the AMK.
If the kit was tested by all countries of the consortium, I would expect it to be offered to all of them. This is clearly different compared to asking for a radar that your country has never even tested and uses a different version, developed by different companies. All of which for 10°, which sounds quite hilarious given the fact that the IRST was added, even if as of itself is not supposed to be included in German T4s.
Anyhow this is clearly opinions deviating and I feel like my point has been given.
And generally speaking I haven’t seen UK players bash their heads on the wall even if the Eurofighter that Italy and Germany have in game isn’t supposed to have Brimstones.
Yes, both Italy and Germany later bought Brimstones, but for the sake of balance it was given to the aircraft based on capabilities.
I would expect people to realize that 10° is not on the same level of not having Brimstones.
The AMK couldn’t have been offered to anyone because it is still in development but that development stage ends 2028 and the UK government said “The full scope of the P4E capability package has not yet been agreed” meaning its not confirmed or denied and it is not ordered or garunteed. The only thing that is set in stone is that the AMK is on the German Eurofighters, and the other countries will decide closer to 2028 when it should be coming out of development.
As for the IRST it was tested as far as I am aware but it was atleast on Germany’s own aircraft not on a foreign aircraft in a foreign country.
As you can clearly understand, these aircraft are very much up in the air. Therefore having the AMK for all three makes sense. I hope that logically, ECRS mk1 and mk2 are a different story.
The reason I want the 10 degrees for the German one is because if Britian and Italy gets something they cant have/dont have then Germany can get something they cant have/dont have
