Someone made a bug report that the German Eurofighter should have the AMK (Aerodynamic Modification Kit) which basically just makes it a lot more manoeuvrable and it got accepted but the bug report moderators said they will accept it for all 3 EASA Eurofighters eventhough its just germany that has this modification they said it will go to all 3 because its a “consortium project” but why did the Germany Eurofighter not get the same EASA radar as the British and Italian ones if its a “consortium project” and they should all get the same modifications according to the bug report mods?
AMK is funded by the consortium the radars are funded by Germany/spain and Italy/uk respectively.
The better question is why every AH64E gets LDIRCM despite neither testing/ordering/funding/fielding them and the German EFT is stuck with the mk1
It is funded buy Germany and Airbus. Airbus are also the ones building it. It will be purchasable by other nations in the Eurofighter program by 2028 but currently only Germany has it and is funding it.
British and Italian typhoons get an extra 10° of angle when sat in a notch. But the German typhoon can still sit in a 90° notch and guide with a very strong AESA radar
Nope IRL only the US has LDIRCM but Gaijin thought balance demands that everyone gets it with JAGMs no matter if there is any real life reason to add those. Rules for thee but not for me
