How do you people even enjoy playing this gamemode?

dissapearing planes straight in front of your eyes, even when in dogfight
airfield campers
teamkillers
“PvE” dudes
this gamemode looks literally unplayable

I have yet to encounter this

Very rare issue for me personally. Especially as there are multiple AFs to select

Bad players are present in every gamemode.

Just report them and then ignore them. They make free kills anyway

Needs some TLC, been about 3 years since an update and 2.5 years since a new map. But I literally cannot touch ARB at the moment, its so dull compared to ASB

This issue may be caused by the crew skill “keen vision”.
With one of the recent updates alot of premium players that didnt buy crew skills are finding out enemies are disappearing. Even sounds arent there if your crew doesnt have the “skills” to hear them.

That could be it. All my crews in ASB are maxed out

I encounter invisible planes all the time, sometimes I follow a dude only for him to dissapear from my view
or I go into a dogfight and dude just dissapears literally in front of my eyes and then I keep circling to look for him and he ends up behind me

airfields are usually so close to each other that just 2 people can deny you from taking off entirely, especially if the pve bots destroy the 3rd af

there shouldnt be any rewards for killing planes that just took off (there arent any for these that didnt but once you take off they get full reward even though its brainlet gameplay)

my crew is lvl 75 its not it

I also have higher lvl crews, but even for me after the recent updates I noticed enemies just not being there, then after i die to them there they are just sitting out in the open.

There shouldnt be for any game mode. But given Gaijins brain dead approach to spawn protection I doubt this will change sadly.

from my experience radar still follows them so I can still shoot down invisible plane with a radar missile
gun rectile bugs out however when they dissapear

There was (and might still be) a bit of a bug where aircraft are invisible at long distance unless the radar can see them at which point they would reappear, but i’ve never heard or seen issues with WVR ranges.

Sounds like you need to submit a bug report

Yep thats to be expected as the radar goes off of your planes specs, not your crews.
Vision of the enemy goes off of your crew skills only.
Check out these 2 vids, they are of tanks but its the same principle for air.

my crew is maxed out and I encounter them disappearing below 2kms

If my crew was maxed out
keen vision
line of sight detection = 7.5 kilo
detection range against sun = 1.8kilo

awareness
absolute identification = .75kilo

The LOS ident is only applicable straight ahead of you assuming you arent looking in the direction of the sun.
Even straight ahead of your plane if you are facing the sun drops your crews ability to see down to sub 2k. Gaijin also probably has some percentage thing where the line of sight range changes depending on how close to directly at the sun you are looking.
So in game play you may only ever get the max range if the sun is directly, perfectly, behind you.

I know there are at least 2 maps with 2 airfields each side where is no AA. Danmark and Ruhr. But this issue I saw only at props BR’s. There might be airfield campers.
I even made a bug report about that.

at high tier you can just camp above airfield because AA wont reach you

that is just dumb, what is this, wot?

Pretty much at this point.
Alot of the player base isnt happy at all about it, but im sure gaijin made alot of money from people rushing to buy crew points to max out the vision skills.

Yep.
Just stay 5 km above the ground.

We don’t.

It is very easy to solve. Create your own room and post in the chat that this is PvP room.
PvE dudes will leave the session.

Sweaty mood:

  1. Find an aspect of flying or combat you’re unsatisfied with and make it your focus
  2. Find an aircraft you think would contribute towards that aspect of flying or combat
  3. Find a lobby with reasonable map size, light and weather
  4. Find a lobby with reasonable opponents - neither too easy, nor too hard and about 10-12 players per side
  5. Focus on that aspect of flying or combat and compare your performance against past attempts

Chill mood:

  1. Find a plane you think has fun handling or a cool cockpit or appeals to you historically
  2. Find a lobby with reasonable map size, light and weather
  3. Find a lobby with reasonable opponents - neither too easy, nor too hard and about 10-12 players per side
  4. LARP that you’re on the eastern front/fighting for the motherland or liberating the western front/fighting a desperate final stand or pacific/african shenanigans.
