How do i play 12.0 with my phantom

I decided to get the premium phantom (to skip past props, because its insanely boring), but its like im commandeering a galleon, and the missiles seem like im shooting cannonballs instead of missiles that pull G’s.

How is the F4-S phantom considered the best 12.0 when there is the premium mirage with magic 2’s, constant uptiers fighting hornets, etc.

when should i shoot my sparrows?, i do not remember a single sparrow kill that wasnt me being “under” the enemy at 4km distance.
In head ons, my sparrow misses the enemy plane, slamdunks into the ground, leaving me to try avoid fights, get a base bomb in and try pick off kills, but my phantom is just so bulky that dodging missiles is insanely hard, especially all aspects

This is why you should grind through the tree and learn first before jumping into the fiasco called top tier and ruining others games. Now imagine having u and another 14 others like you in team. Its why the games end in 2 min with 13 out of 16 people on one side not having a single kill.

okay?, thanks on the help wise sensei.

i dont understand how me playing props (which i did) will help me with what im asking.

Cause you´d learn the basics on how to fly,met first radars, first radar missiles and IR missiles, learnt how to use them and dodge them. Instead it ends up in this.

i dont understand what youre accomplishing with this.

you want better players on your team? lets open our eyes and see what the question is.

im asking questions about the AIM 7F, which if you see, is one of the earliest radar missiles you get.
also on how to fight in uptiers, against simply better planes.

If you didnt get so mad about nothing, which you clearly are, you would understand.
Youre acting like you were never clueless, like you were the one who invented it.

now if you would stop making arguments for no reason out of simple questions?

work your way up through the tech tree to learn how to fly those BRs naturally is the best advice.

buying up just shoots your own foot

We can clearly see you werent performing with props,it suddenly wont change if you buy jet. You have 0.2 K/D with borderline broken planes like P-63 or F8F-1. If you cant fly props well, you wont magically fly jets well. Cause you miss basic things like positioning yourself, knowing what you can and cant do against enemies with your plane, how to dodge missiles, how radar works and so on. And this just gets worse the higher you get as it becomes less and less forgiving.

That is also a lie,AIM-7F is one of the latest sparrows you get. First one is AIM-7C at 9.0 F3H,where AIM-7E-2 is standard up to 12.0 Phantoms like FG.1 or FGR.2

In my limited experience with the F4’s they gain a lot from positioning, situational awareness and tactical play. Something it at first glance you seem to have somewhat skipped by jumping up in BR instead of going through the natural progression of the tree.

Props might seem boring but they teach a lot about positioning, energy retention and tactical play. Something that should almost be second nature by the time you get to guided missiles.

And as you see, others are clearly saying the same thing to you, so you might aswell take something from it.

If you didnt go based only off of stats, you would know im returning back to this game after a years break, also an insanely long time of not playing planes, yet im more a ground player, and you would also know that im not the only one playing on this computer.

so how about instead of being passive agressive you answer simple questions?, but instead you are butthurt that someone decided to do something with their own money.

thank you on actually giving a idea on how to play, instead of judging on someones opinion.

kindof forgot about that 1, but then again.

Many people are in this same situation, do you think you will get better teammates by you judging the possible future teammates asking on how to do something optimally?

And you also admit to violate EULA publicly, nice. Years of break or not, your performance is abysmal either way. So instead of buying your way to top tier to be another of the napalm bombers that do nothing for team other than die you should have actually learnt how to fly before hand through the natural tree progression.

Brother, can we have normal thinking?
Seeing by how you interact, i can tell you have nobody over, using your device once a month. (not dedicated players, in this case.)
and why is this your problem? you seriously think everybody is going to have an average rating while fighting in constant uptiers.

alltho i see there was no point in asking simple questions because of people like this, which would rather start arguments than prevent further complications. thank you on those who actually decided to give advice.

While you do have reasonable advice in your posts i do recommend that you give it in a nicer not so condescending way. It tends to make players actually take the advice instead of going on the defensive in response.

Did you switch the radar mode from SRC to SRC PDV HDN?
Did you consider firing speed and position? As far as I recall, the F-4S is the most powerful Phantom.

Yes, i understand on how radar works, i just dont understand how come there is only 1 viable firing position for my sparrows, being at a lower altitude, and obviously 4-5km distance, that i know of (Classic headons tend to have my sparrow flying past the enemy, and anybody mildly close to the ground results in the sparrow going into the ground.)

The F-4S radar is extremely effective against enemies flying directly toward the aircraft’s nose, but it is very weak against beam maneuvers or notches executed directly to the side. It’s possible enemy pilots understand this and are evading accordingly. I’d like to know more about this point, so if you could send me replays or similar data, I could provide further advice.
