idk about that, mig21smt is also 10.3 then you got j7d at 10.7. its stacked br. not to mention the f5s

until it runs out of missiles. Now that I learned that the f-5c and e no longer lose to it in a flat rate i feel like the j35xs is a better 104j.
Also wtf is going on with f-4e radar?
unless you’re an attacker aircraft, the f-5 is not a threat, treat it like the zero while you’re at it.
its not the f4e radar, its the mig23 being bugged.

its definetly a threat if youre in any of the aircraft without fox 1s that rely on gun kills and lucky fox 2s.
J35XS used to be oppressive at 10.7, then they nerfed the FM and lowered it to 10.3 where it keeps being a bit oppressive because of the loadout paired to that platform. It’s still a fast jet that can make a few turns unlike for example an F-104.
The Saab F-35 is just a worse option, it’s heavier and has a considerably worse loadout. The only real advantage is the countermeasure count I think.

so what is the f-5 then? it’s literally a slow turn fighter that relies on it’s transonic energy retention and the sheer idiocy of the enemy players to dogfight it without even extending at the slightest chance and has two missiles, TWO ONLY, that also happen to be the worst of their BR. They literally only work as a head on battering ram for mig23s that are too busy launching missiles you can easily flare, leaving you a happy gap without gunfire right into those mofokas’ face. The F-5C is glershk because it’s got anemic engines and two shittiles. The F-5E is glershk because it takes longer to deploy flaps than 109, you can’t start rating fast with these slow surfaces.
A better turning hunter with better missiles and no thermal signature, and then you turn on the afterburner and dont get hotter.
oh you also have countermeasures that work

with strong as hell guns
any gun over 15mm will shred it kinda stops mattering by jets.
Guns shred everything by 8.3
velocity isnt made equal. theres a world of difference between something going 800 m/s and something going 1030 m/s
fair velocity can screw you up. I cant make the aden 25mm work from that (they also dont have training tracer which sucks)

no it aint, better flight model and 4 r60s.
You have to trust the radar and missile, even if the green square is a bit off it’ll pull through most of the time
can confirm it looks off but the missile work most times although crits ar common

If any plane and missile have machine spirits it’s the F-4E and AIM-7E-2 DF. Sometimes they land in shots you don’t think will work, other times they beeline for teammates
