For afterburning jets, TWR, drag, and mass are your energy attributes unless you climb beyond your peak amount.
F-18C is as-fast on full internal fuel as an F-16C is to 10,000 meters if you care.
Right now the F-18C retains energy as well as an F-16A, and more than an F-15A, when you select the same amount of fuel that you’ll afterburner will use.
This is a very true statement in Vietnam they did a study and the F-4s rarely even went past Mach 1 on combat sorties. In the entire war the amount of times an F-4 went over Mach 2 was countable on your fingers.
This entire argument could be used to argue aircraft like the sea harrier FA2 to be 12.0 which I’m all for. Heck every single 13.7 bar the F-15C could argue for a BR drop based upon this speed argument.
No you aren’t the fastest top tier aircraft, but instead you have an insane number of missiles. Aircraft will be different that’s what assymetrical combat is all about.
So to break your BR down more evenly
and?
So its equal in performance to the Phantom FGR2?
Sure, only if it has Aim-9Gs and Aim-7Es
12.7 is the perfect BR for it. Low enough it wont see 14.0s, high enough to not cause compression.
Note True, they lack only in the speed department. Their flight model is very good.
Speed is not the only factor considered for BR placement. If that’s the case, Mig-23ML for example should be at 13.7. You can’t conveniently ignore the facts that the plane gets a very good radar with HMD, large load-out of 12 missiles (which are VERY good). These have way more impact in top tier rather than the top speed.
SU-34 has R-77s which are widely known as one of the worst ARH missiles, doesn’t get HMD to make effective use of its high G-overload missiles. Flight performance is not desirable as well.
I am 100% convinced that you are just trolling at this point lol.
They should be given the AIM-9Ms and moved to 13.0.
read the full post to understand why I said it lol. That statement was intended as a justification to why it sits at 13.3, not whether it should/shouldn’t have those capabilities.
from my tinkering on the dev server you can actually run full throttle without it melting now. It may only be slightly overtiered now instead of disgustingly overtiered
