Hornets BR. It's too much, Gaijin

For afterburning jets, TWR, drag, and mass are your energy attributes unless you climb beyond your peak amount.

F-18C is as-fast on full internal fuel as an F-16C is to 10,000 meters if you care.
Right now the F-18C retains energy as well as an F-16A, and more than an F-15A, when you select the same amount of fuel that you’ll afterburner will use.

This is a very true statement in Vietnam they did a study and the F-4s rarely even went past Mach 1 on combat sorties. In the entire war the amount of times an F-4 went over Mach 2 was countable on your fingers.

Wow, this is the biggest piece of copium I have ever seen

Almost all previous decompression was reversed or made worse (with ARH)

Also 12.0 Hornet is madness

F-18 on 12.0 is nothing but bullshit cringe take.

HOW THE HELL 4th gen fighter which can armed
6x AIM-9L with 4x AIM-7M need to sent 12.0

While 3rd gen fighter which can armed with 4x AIM-9G, 4x Skyflash(British domestic AIM-7E-2) stuck at 12.0??

Is Non-Americans are jokes to US Main?

This entire argument could be used to argue aircraft like the sea harrier FA2 to be 12.0 which I’m all for. Heck every single 13.7 bar the F-15C could argue for a BR drop based upon this speed argument.

No you aren’t the fastest top tier aircraft, but instead you have an insane number of missiles. Aircraft will be different that’s what assymetrical combat is all about.

So to break your BR down more evenly

and?

So its equal in performance to the Phantom FGR2?

Sure, only if it has Aim-9Gs and Aim-7Es

12.7 is the perfect BR for it. Low enough it wont see 14.0s, high enough to not cause compression.

Well! I think we can beat those Hornets badly if both SHar and F/A-18 go 12.0 because of OP’s Theory.

Sea Harrier with AIM-120 and buffed FM will conquer the skies.

All shall fear the Harriers if/when they are finished. US F-5Es and F-15As learnt to fear them

This post has to be a joke lol.

Note True, they lack only in the speed department. Their flight model is very good.

Speed is not the only factor considered for BR placement. If that’s the case, Mig-23ML for example should be at 13.7. You can’t conveniently ignore the facts that the plane gets a very good radar with HMD, large load-out of 12 missiles (which are VERY good). These have way more impact in top tier rather than the top speed.

SU-34 has R-77s which are widely known as one of the worst ARH missiles, doesn’t get HMD to make effective use of its high G-overload missiles. Flight performance is not desirable as well.

I am 100% convinced that you are just trolling at this point lol.

They should be given the AIM-9Ms and moved to 13.0.

It could be worse, far far worse

ok, MiG-29G has R-73, only 2 radar missiles (6 in total) and 60 flares, but it’s on 13.0, so why F/18C (Early) must be 12.3?

maybe because Su-34 is FRONTLINE BOMBER and never had HMD irl?

read the full post to understand why I said it lol. That statement was intended as a justification to why it sits at 13.3, not whether it should/shouldn’t have those capabilities.

Im really looking forward to the Harrier overhaul, it might be playable after this major update

from my tinkering on the dev server you can actually run full throttle without it melting now. It may only be slightly overtiered now instead of disgustingly overtiered

It needs the IR sig improvements and BOL Fixes then it will be fine at 13.0. Though still probably the weakest ARH slinger at that BR by a long way

what hornet are we talking about? the 14.0 one?

isnt 13.0 the bare minimum BR for AMRAAM and AMRAAM counterparts?

F-14A is 12.7. There is an argument to be made that the F-14A is more effective than the Sea Harrier FA2 even though it has AMRAAM.

Put the Fa.2 at 12.0 with the new buffs it just got and it would be one of the most dominate planes at 12.0 easy lmao.
