Having an AESA radar has little to no effect on the performance of the missile at this moment in time due to how Gaijin has modeled the DL.
Once fired, the Derby performs exactly the same as it does on any other derby carrier. The AESA radar is only of value in rapidly finding targets to fire at which can be useful in a dogfight but so long as a radar has a bare minimum of performance, then the difference is currently not majorly felt.
Sea Harrier FA2 at the same BR for example, finds targets just fine and its BR wouldnt radically change if it suddenly got an AESA radar, if it would change at all
AESA, on IR missile, hmmmm the infamous radar guided python 3. plus on the kfir it doesn’t change anything since its pretty much useless to use your derby beyond the missiles active radar range due to its absolute shitty range. so aesa radar on the Kfir is just good at detecting target to fire your missile.
I think I am going to die of cancer
After two biased topics about Hornet in the forum but in a contradicted way
Hornet needs to get a drastic buff in BR because they will underperforming badly. Of course, they fly too slowly.
(No) ← We are here.
Remove multipath before premium F/A-18C ruins the match by bombing.
(They will reach base way slower than F-4S. And they will bomb anyway no matter multipath or not)
We’ll have to see how it does with the rather massive buffs coming this major update already and hopefully some further buffs yet to come. But based upon relative performance to the Harrier Gr7, I think 12.3 would be pushing it a bit. 12.7 though could be argued for rather readily
It’s fine, Harriers with 120’s is on 13.0, Su-34 - 13.3, JF-17 - 13.3, even while Hornet can take 10 AMRAAM’s - it cant be used effectively, to set it to 14.0
Honestly the air BRs of the Hornets are the least concerning thing about them. The A and C early are essentially non starters in GRB at their respective BRs and need to go down - they lack ordnance. The C late seems like a very high performer within its flight envelope and should be fine at top tier.
Not every jet needs to have good ordinance for the BR, If you lower it in GRB it just terrorizes the other planes at that lower BR and dominates the Sky. It’s like the Mig23MLD (or varients around that plane) they could be lower due to not having good ground ordinance, but then would just smack the living crap out of every other jet trying to do CaS or just survive. It would not be a good time for anyone other than the jet that is under BR’d
The f18c late is easily the worst 14.0 in the game. Even if the CM amount is fixed and brought to 120, without bol pods and apg79, f18c late will be the weakest 14.0 besides the finnish f18 for the same reasons but the finnish one cant get apg79. Especially if they correct the thrust and bring it down. 13.3 is too low, 14.0 is too high. 13.7 is where it should go.
