Thats quite impolite generalization of Japanese mains.
Chi-nu is overtiered and bad yes. I do way better with german tanks of same br. But I will still play it because I am not pussy that cares only about cringe stats thank you !

(tho it got a bit better now after shermans, t34s and panzer IVs got up br.)

Imagine ever playing those

Multiple small weakspots around the cannons, so probably that’s how. APHE (only if they happen to bounce downwards) and HE rounds to the bottom of the turret can also blow it in one shot

I never played the proto so i cant say but for the production, reduce the engine power to 750hp and top speed to 21mph then drop its br to 6.7.
I think its ok at its current BR but get a buff to its range performance
What an argument. Maybe if you actually played Ho-Ri prototype you would notice its problems. Compared to 268 it has worse armour, horrible mobility, worse gun but better reload so yeah it’s diffinetly on par with that. Straight to 7.0! To add to that at 6.7 there are already better TDs such as SU-122-54 and Ferdinand which do everything that Ho-Ri does but better.
The maus can be killed with 210+ mm of pen in my experience, an Is-2 barely pen the side from the perfect angle.
Pretty trolly since I almost never try it, but this guy say he learned the weakspots.
And the Is-7 is 8.3 for this reason, and it needs to be OP, who would play an ultra rare tank worth 1500+ € if it’s bad.
The Stingray is also a unique variant, the Cadillac Gage prototypes had a different cooling system, enclosed exhaust, full LFP without cutouts for the track tension mechanisms, no mounting points for a gun mount and more.
Then there’s also some other features like thermals and ESS that may or may not have been on the US prototypes that aren’t on the Thai variant, and some claims of the Thai tank having 15hp more engine output, but those are unproven now iirc.
In game the only reason the Stingrays are the same is that the US got a Thai tank instead of a real Cadillac Gage prototype, it’s pretty much the reverse of what they did to the Thai M163 and M60A3 TTS.

too be fair the thai TTS is a copy and paste from the twainese one in the china tree

Yep, which would even be right considering that’s in reality the same model Thailand used, but in game it isn’t because they copied it from the US one modified to fit the ERA package.
So the turret still has the extended smoke launchers, removed handrails and removed stowage to fit the ERA that neither Thailand nor Taiwan had. Which is even funnier considering that makes 2/3 M60A3 TTS in game the wrong model.

Real Thai M60A3 TTS

Bro.
Did you actually just say

You don’t think Ferdinand and Protoype are comparable?

The Ho RI is much faster, and has a better armor profile, and I believe better gun depression.

Comparable guns except ferdinant gets better reload and traverse angles. Much better armour. Comparable mobility with full reverse speed. So yeah it is better.

In which universe is it better to have paper thin superstructure?

Jesus christ Prototype
Ferdinand have around same horspower and is arguably more mobile with only slightly worse top speed and way better reverse speed which is better for tank destroyer tbf.
Way better armor and gun than prototype.

If we look at the stats, the Ferdinand seems to outperform the Ho-Ri Proto.
Especially since we have the premium Elefant as reference.
The Proto is less armored and less mobile than the „production“.
The should be removed but even then, they won’t be completely gone but just unobtainable.
I get that forward speed is much faster. But that is partially offset by difference in reverse, which allows Ferdinand to quickly retreat to safety after shooting.
But the armor - you are saying the Prototype armor is better than Ferdinand?
Certainly not the upper works - both almost 90 degree but Ferdinand 50mm thicker.
The sides/rear - easily in the Ferdinand’s favor.
Ferdinand gun depression is slightly worse but it has quicker reload and better pen.
Never played the Prototype so my opinion is based on paper stats only.

I own it. It’s exactly as you might expect, a pretty good cannon on an otherwise completely forgettable vehicle. It’s not fast, it’s not armored, it’s not low-profile.

The Prototype is a piece of crap, what are you on about? its worse than every German 6.7 TD, no armour, gun that loves to bounce and no mobility
