Historical mode should be added in warthunder

Idc if I’m the single only person to say this, the game was FAR BETTER when it was more THEMATIC and IMMERSSIVE regrading matchmaking. Ie, nation based matchmaker that tried to make matchups that made “sense” like allies v axis when possible, nato v warsaw when possible etc. It wasn’t PERFECT but the solution was not to throw it away but to revise it further. The current matchmaking is extremely un-immersive, completely lacks thematic elements, etc. It just isn’t anywhere near as fun or exciting as the game used to be.

I imagine MOST people got into this game for this EXACT reason, yet people for some reason seem to pretend they didn’t in my opinion. The most common answer I hear about why people got into WT was because they were into ww2 history or something similar and this game gave you the tools to “play out” ww2 (and later once the game become more updated) scenarios that you’ve seen in history.

2017-2019,one air realistic match 1 hour.Noboby says its too long,and i feel good.During that period of time kill enemy is exicting and Give people a sense of achievement,not like The current mode

Agree,what we should do is as close to history a possible, not “balance”

We should do BOTH, but by doing history first then by BR to solve issues. The BRs also need to be heavily decompressed

This is my idea. First, restore the Axis vs. Allies, then set BR based on performance, and balance it with BR. However, the most important thing is to separate the Axis camp from the Allied camp and not allow it to exist ameriaca and japan,or german and russia at same team.

I do think it should be possible to get other team comps other than allies v axis as well sometimes, just not as the main thing the matchmaker tries to do.

Yes, I understand you.
When the old forum still existed, this was discussed a lot.
But over time it got so far that all 3 game modes ( AB, RB, SB ) have nothing to do with history anymore…
It’s a game from an airplane, on the motives of historical events…
I would like historical, weekend or 3-4 day historical events, with selected sets of historical vehicles. And even then it will be strange, because each player has a different skill level and it will never be a team game.

It can only be approached…

This is the closest, no one has a chance to go hunt ground vehicles or sneak near the ground, those who fly near the ground are useless…

Once upon a time, Gaijin wrote that they mixed the teams so that there would not be unnecessarily long waiting times, I don’t know, but you can probably believe it…
It is quite often seen that the teams are in battles, stuck together as much as possible … probably really few players for so many planes…

And also, Gaijin has never hidden that it is a commercial fun game, if we wanted an ultra-simulator, it would probably look different.

For intercept mission, air spawn on 5000-7000 is ok,but i think intercept mission is boring,we have substitute on existing mode.What i want to add is battle of encounter ,which all start at ground or low altitude 500-2000 climb search enemy and choose the best way against enemy.I dont believe gaijin’s words,we have enough players and i can accept wait less than 1 minute,i have enough patient,i would rather wait for 1 minute than exist air realistic compromise because of balance and the victory grasp on minority good players.

We’ll see, but I think Gaijin won’t install this for a lot of reasons…
I am sending you a link to the old forum where there are examples of some weekend events that came with the big update 1.43 (2014/2015). In the beginning absolutely perfect, but then there was no interest in them…
The reason?
Players only enjoyed it if they could explore the planes available in the event list of planes… If there was no plane they could explore, then they were not interested in the event, only aviation enthusiasts enjoyed playing with a fully explored plane …
In a normal day to day game, almost every battle will feature a premium aircraft that has a favorable battle rating and completely destroys any list of aircraft that might make historical sense just by flying at the same time but “just” in completely different parts of the world …

U are right,players always want new aircraft or tanks,but when there are o more vehicle to add,players have to get used toenjpy playing with a fully explored plane.Now,gaijin indulge in add more modernize vehicles in game but ignore those old vehicles on WW2,early cold war,though modernize vehicles are more attractive,but homogenization is also more serious.There are no interest on top tier.What i wnt to express is that let gaijin pay attention to old vehicles,let warthunder develop for a longer time.
