I’ve unlocked Rank VI and VII with US, GER and RU. Highest I’ve gotten is just about finishing unlocking US Rank VII vehicles. One more and I can start research on Rank VIII.
I don’t find any reason or enjoyment playing above 10.0.
If you’re 1. not an autocannon cav vehicle (excluding the Bradley, which isn’t on par with the others), a 2. pack or premium helo or a 3. [redacted topic because Gaijin will ban me for mentioning it] then you just get constantly dunked on. Super not fun.
Point 1 is the most irritating for me personally (excluding point 3, that can not be talked about). Every time I hear a bunch of “putt putt putt putt putt” off in the distance I know some autocannon, most likely a BMP or BMD or whatever, but also maybe some CVwhateverthell, is going to kill me before I ever see them.
Honestly just make high and top tier all autocannons. Why bother with MBTs.

EDIT: No I don’t care about CAS. CAS never bothered me, not even now. Not even 20km distant 8km high precision unavoidable CAS bothers me. So don’t bring your CAS hate here.

As cas does not bother you same here auto cannon does not bother me both are part of the game and will remain.

I didn’t say autocannons are a problem. The implication is they are hilariously overperforming to the point where it almost feels like it’s the meta. As in playing any ground vehicle that isn’t an autocannon… excluding, conveniently, the American Bradley… is making a conscious choice to screw yourself. It seems wrong to me. MBTs should have a point, but it feels more and more like they are the bombers of Ground RB.
But I think I can see why Gaijin would want this. They fit the f2p mold perfectly; fast and quick point and click and hold down. It’s f2p gaming made manifest. f2p games are about speed; fast matchmaking, fast gameplay, fast conclusions, fast repeat.
How are auto cannon over performing in what way ? I am curious I have spent countless hours in top tier only time i faced problems from auto cannon is when they are camping or they flank .

I suggest you to stop the grind and get the HSTV-L and stop right there, maybe go for CLAWS and that’s it, because if you go further you would just waste your time and suffer from the lack of armor you’re going to notice with the SEP,SEPV2 and the huge turret ring issue that been bothering every US player for the last 2 years.
I know this is off-topic but i just wanted to give you a heads up.

All the Abrams’ plus the 120S have THAT turret issue; I’ve adapted to it. But thank you for the advice.

The HC is much stronger than any Abrams in the game, but yeah you’re welcome.

lol not much else to do but constantly keep the barrel depressed which… wouldn’t be very practical…
The basket addition made the Abrams much worse now thanks to Gaijin, but otherwise i’d rather play a weaker nation like Israel and have fun other than getting disabled by the slightest damage possible.

At this point, Merkava Mk.4 is unironically better than the 12.0 Abrams.
Worse KE protection, but MUCH higher survivability post-pen while sharing roughly equivalent mobility and firepower.
The crew members are significantly further away from each other, it has no FCS module, it has no hydraulic pump module, it has no turret basket, and it has generally trolly survivability overall.

How are autocannons a problem? I get it can be annoying to die to but just click on the guy shooting you in most cases
Autocannons are pretty much objectively underperforming in most cases in game lol, they are better irl

No brother, these are the facts of reality if you look at irl penetration numbers or the effects autocannons have on vehicles irl that you do not get in WT like breaking optics/jamming turret drives etc
