Heat (fs) in WW2 era

I’m sure those enemy tanks will let you have your turn capping if you ask nicely, surely you aren’t meant to engage the enemy tanks

For 50+ games, out of my top 10 tanks, 5 are heavies and none use heat.

The first heat user (unless you count the maus) is in 41th place lol

Based on the global stats of these vehicles, I expect most people to have similar results.

Is it important for SPAA to be able to frontally kill heavy tanks?

What SPAA are doing that

Should SPAA be moved down in BR until they can frontally pen any enemy they face?

Please skip to the relevance

This equivalence completely ignore the specific role that SPAA fill, which is shooting down planes.

If you’d like them to be equivalent, please go and achieve a 0.5 K/D against planes with your choice of HEATFS firing vehicles.

“Holy… what do you think the point of GRB is???”

It’s the point of GRB.

Most SPAA do have some degree of being able to defend themself within reason, and its very obvious SPAA are the exception to the rule. You seriously want to believe that light tanks should only be able to scout and “flank” on war thunder maps?

Do you honestly believe Cold War light tanks would only be able to flank and scout fighting other Cold War vehicles? They would not be able to kill a single vehicle from the side or year?

What?

Alright, ikv 72 needs to go to 8.0 immediately with scouting

The tanks we are discussing would be able to kill Cold War vehicles at least from the side and rear. Why would that be a problem? Why do they have to be able to defeat any tank they see from the front?

What tanks are you even referring to here

Post World War II vehicles with heat FS. Specifically those tanks in the BR brackets with World War II vehicles. What tanks did you think we were discussing in this thread?

If those tanks were strong enough, they would be up at 8.0+.

You might want to better define this. WW2 tanks go up to like 7.7.

The russian 7.0 AA killed my tiger 2 from the front. Casual as u like. Pop…pop…pop…boom!

Abandoned germany straight after. Stupidly bought the tiger 2 premium last night, regrets- yes. …First time i come across the russian 7.7 heavy tank- a real heavy not just in name.

ZSU-57-2 is more of a TD than a spaa. And the tiger 2p is not known for having a super strong turret. It cant pen the tiger 2h’s turret from the front.

In a full down tier, yeah. Not surprised. Most heavies work way better in full down tiers. Unless it is something like the m6 which just has bad armor.

Because it’s not a real SPAA and is more like a tank destroyer
