I get it, fox-1 missile defence is a skillcheck the majority of players fail but the airframe is really, really not up to the job when youre a higher BR than a F-4E
Skyflash are far from just qn “skillcheck” specially after the buff, not to mention fhat they are the second best missile at this br, since now you cant simply roll them on head ons they are quite good, certanly better than guns or ir missiles

I think 10.3 is too low but it’s a debatable level of reduction, a full BR reduction is Tiger_Tank_1 levels of bad take.

And the Hawk has both Chaff and Flares and a decent RWR, everything it need to deal with the threats that it faces and you want to get to fight things that have to carry a few hundred extra KG of extra mass to use an exploit to jerry rig flares because you are to lazy to play defensively despite all your other advantages? If the disparity in FM is such an issue just go play the new 7.7 hawks dude… or don’t you want to actually fight planes with similar FMs when you don’t have 30G missiles to lean on?
you essentially want a Hawk that can compete with its FM… that exists… the Hawk T… but you want it with the advantages of the AIM-9L, well too bad, if you want the bells and whistles you get the BR increases as well.
I know, it’s still far better then most missiles at 10.7.
If the A-10 can be 10.7 while being even slower…
I think this thread sailed past rational discussion a few ports ago… the “it would still be weak at 9.7” was well past last stop for sanity.

supertemp sure but DF have very bad range and overload, made worse by being on a slow as all hell airframe.
better radar and missile 0.3BR higher than an E (and a F). at the cost of literally everything else

yea, the A-4E or any plane that can carry a good amount of rockets as 9L is very flare/rocket hungry. sabres will have an issue but only from the missile. you can see what happens to hawks when they are in sabre BRs already with T1a, it wont be too different outside of the head on.
30 flare 30 chaff sure. too bad youre a really slow target thats not agile enough to jink out of the way of a gun.
It doesnt compete with its FM at 7.7. Good luck against a yak 15 let alone any sabre.

remove mica and the rafale is a 13.7. that thing is still reaping the rewards of the fake buffs to this day.
I have, I’ve got around 80 games between the 209 and the 200 and a (albeit barley) positive A2A K/D in both, despite playing primarily as an attacker and I’m not a very good player. Like I said it’s not great, but is usable.
I agree on the fake buffs, but it’s still getting slapped around by F-2A ADTWS with out the MICA, at least that’s what happened to it in bullet hell, they stopped queuing so fast it wasn’t funny… Sorry I lied… it was hilarious, they got a massive reality check.
Look I have laid out my points on the Hawk all ready, you can take it or leave it, either way further debate on the issue isn’t going anywhere, you blokes have obviously decided you disagree so continuing on restating the same points at each other will only serve to annoy each other. At the end of the day it’s up to Gaijin what they do with it, so I’m going to leave it here.

the 209 has good ground attack capability at least.
I mean… rafale mains have never had to actually try in order to dominate normally.
there isnt any reason why they should be getting slapped around from airframe inferiority tbh
fair enough. I would appreciate if the hawks got the normal trainer jet treatment of being at a BR where they annoy everyone else rather than the user, but thats british jets for you, no fun allowed.

oh yeah, the grind is the suck, it always is, there is probably a few BR steps difference between stock and spaded performance of most vehicles.
And the fact most of your team is usually dead by the time you get to the battlefield so it’s you vs the entire enemy team all desperately sweating on you for that last kill doesn’t help.
Look don’t get me wrong, I do understand the issues and frustration, especially with stock grinds, I just want to see a more comprehensive fix then the BR “shell game” Gaijin keeps playing.
we need to get one into the USA tree, that will fix it.
their only option is the Goshawk, its a hawk T1 with no ability to carry weapons at all so couldnt ever be valid for addition. It was carrier capable tho which is wild.
