Honestly, crying about 2s38 being OP is just crazy, considering there are actually OP and busted vehicles in ru tech tree

The BMD isn’t that great, only thing it has going for it is ATGM reload and mobility and thermals

The global stat of 9040c looks much better than 2s38 for sure, at least it has positive kd unlike the 2s38, you can tell one of them has a less vulnerable firing position as with soviet gun depression you pretty much have to expose your entire vehicle hitbox to be able to use your gun, which often makes it a shoot-once-die-tank, same as BMP-2M, mfs are the easiest thing to kill.

already said my opinions aren’t based on youtube videos. eg the J-7D isn’t really overperforming, I don’t think I’ve ever been killed by one. I’ve never really had an issue with many Russian tanks that people seem to have a problem with (T-90M). 2S38 whenever I face it just domes me. I think it could go up a step or two and be perfectly fine, and ideally it gets redefined as Anti-Air as that IS what it is.
And Yes Motorola, I’ve had a fair amount of 2S38 drop nukes on me. Shocker, I know.

its definitely a solid vehicle, though I don’t think its overperforming in the slightest. only issue ive ever had against BMD is the ricochet at extreme angles, but thats fairly rare and the ratio of kills to ricochet for me is probably 30:1

bro you look at how many battles too not just K/D i mean you can in some case but not when different between battle is too much like this.
…how i came to the conclusion that 2S38s drop nukes on me? probably by playing against them. Though a lot of 2S38 players that I’ve seen are fairly unaware, but thats just a lot of the playerbase- myself included at times.
You track what vehicles enemy nuke player uses?
Or do you just assume it was 2s38 becasue enemy had soviets on their side

I don’t see soviets and assume “oh 2S38 nation!”. i usually see it in the killfeed or get killed by them, afterall watching my entire team get obliterated on one side of the map IS a good reason to look at the killfeed every now and then

If you put yourself in that same position that 2s38 could kill you, everything could also kill you? Right?

The Beglitpanzer 57 is just as bad and is lower BR than the 2S38. It may not get APFSDS (gets APHE, which is arguably better), but is smaller, gets an ATGM and has more survivability + better armour.

It used to be worse before the addition of turret basket lol that thing is small and almost empty and been hitting that empty spot that cause no damage. Nowadays it’s much weaker for sure.
