This thread is not about big map cope please take that elsewhere.
It better this way let leave it there don’t try to make it any worse.
No my point was highlighting how asinine claiming that “sound of engines indemnification” would be “worse”. When you already are fighting tanks with the same engines, also its not like you could figure out whoes who by LOOKING AT YOUR MINIMAP.
I agree with you
In the past, I had fully researched the ground forces for the USA, Germany, and Russia. Over recent years, these nations received many new vehicles, but often they were variations of existing ones. Seeking variety, I switched to France, only to encounter a similar situation with repetitive vehicle additions…
Recently, I’ve been playing Israel and Italy. My impression is that players of minor nations often struggle against major powers.
When playing the Russian tech tree, I noticed many experienced players with thousands of battles. These “Russian mains” frequently display good teamwork, assisting with repairs, winching, providing smoke cover, and supporting teammates during crew replacement.
In my experience, the Russian tech tree is the most enjoyable to play, as I often encounter players who cooperate effectively and use sound strategies.
It’s worth noting that win rates fluctuate for all nations (speaking for the main USA audience). For instance, many American players seem to forget the prevalence of 2S38s during the last anniversary sale. This cycle continues because some players are willing to pay for powerful premium vehicles without necessarily learning proper tactics, and they are sustaining the game and have the right to do so.
Conversely, when playing French, Italian, or other minor nations, I’ve noticed some players become overly aggressive in pursuit of kills, possibly due to frustration with perceived imbalances. I’ve witnessed teammates blocking allies to secure kills, often resulting in their own demise without effectively neutralizing the enemy.
While I understand that each tech tree has its strengths and Gaijin’s attention and love varies, it seems that players of minor nations sometimes adopt a reckless playstyle, prioritizing personal score over teamwork and effective gameplay.
I apologize if this sounds harsh, but I encourage you to observe these dynamics in your matches to see if you notice similar patterns.
It can’t get worse because you are already playing games with leo vs leo, abrams vs abrams and t-?? vs t-??.
That suggestion makes me want to take out the su34 rn and shoot another team to death lmao. Fr tho red zone is a healthy mechanic, u shouldnt be paying upwards of 800+ sp to just get immediately blasted out of the air without any chance to defend yourself cause someone is just hanging by your AF with no AA shooting them. What they should do however is move the air spawns WAY further back and add some actual AA again, then you would have much more room to stop them before they get within striking distance of the AO but couldnt just hang around the spawns with impunity.
OK so you propose we have mixed battles. AGAIN -
Ignoring vehicle design & doctrine
Complaining about issues that are player inflicted
Skill issue on player part
Ignorance and lack of knowledge on player part
And with the, why the hell should anyone then grind out a nation for unique vehicle characteristics when it all does not matter in the end.
Best fix is to create maps that allow vehicles to be used within their design and doctrine, preventing 1 vehicle lineups, increasing vehicle cooldown for leaving early.
But you do you, have gaijin fix skill issue.
Already in GRB because you can play like Italy vs Germany in one battle. Or idk, USA vs Germany.
The only way to play w/o ignoring design and doctrine is GSB.
Besides- as unrealistic as that MM you shared is, there isn’t the issue of nations literally having to face themselves, which is my whole point.
For example; in your picture, it’s Russia + Germany vs Everyone Else.
If anyone on Team A hears a T-80/90 engine, they know it’s an enemy Russian tank.
If anyone on Team B hears an Abrams/Type 10/Challenger engine, they know it’s an enemy American/Japanese/British tank. Etc.
Minimap or not, sound cues are also important, specially both when enemies and friendlies are nearby. If you don’t think sound is that important, try playing without sound.
And as I said; as unrealistic as the current MM is, at least there’s a notion of “my team vs their team”, and a distinction between these. In mixed battles you’ll constantly face your own nation, like… what?
That’s just yet another step towards WoTification.
Fox 3s are way to expensive. They are about the same price as GBUs.
Even though those nations are in NATO - they do have their own doctrine and their vehicles are adapted and designed accordingly. Might help if you google a bit.
It 100% is not.
- lmao this is a video game hop on hell let lose
- its not player inflicted you fundamentally do not understand this issue.
- Agree to some extent
- same as 3
- Because you cant play an abrams while playing russia or fly an f15E.
Oh yeah, famous design of Leopard to fight the same Leopard, yeah
Or T-80 to fight T-80 (just an example)
they can do it right now, but they choose not to
that what happen.
Good maybe they should make the game more WOT like its not like wot made literal billions of dollars or anything. All this thread is talking about is making the game more balanced, which it demonstrably would. One single patch and you would see all the top tier win rate go back to 10% parity. I 100% guarantee it.
ik, thats what im saying - rn they already need to shift the cas spawns much further back
I just wanna puke by just thinking
it disgusts me.
WOT hate in war thunder communities boils down to 2 major groups
-
Trash wot players coping because they never got good and cope by saying its a bad game.
-
Muh realism copers who were also in group 1
which one are you?
War Thunder players in 2014: “yo check up this new game, puts more emphasis on realism, I already uninstalled WoT.”
War Thunder players in 2024: “War Thunder should be more like WoT.”
Well, times change, I guess.
No point derailing this any further do you have anything else to add to the topic that isnt insane cope or whataboutisms?
Genuinely explain to me how this would not solve the premium player problem overnight.
